"The facility started by acknowledging that they charge a resort fee only to raise the cost up outside of Expedia. Then three days I did not even see housekeeping in the halls. I was told they haven’t been showing up. Maintenance came in made a mess in the bathroom for the guest to clean up and the breakfast was microwave breakfast sandwiches sold separately coffee was never available although there was a pot "

"Having staued at this hotel multiple times of the year duri g various seasons, my wife and I have been always very satisfied with all the amenities in the room and in the facility itself. Cooking facilities are excellent to be able to sray in the room over a long term. Laundry facilities are excellent. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Location is excellent and within a few minutes if dining and shopping faclities.Views from upper floors are amazing."

"Extremely overpriced. Provided a room that was not what I ordered. The room I ordered had a balcony and only one bed ended up giving me a room with two beds with only two chairs. Parking in their parking lot was usually filled up by their own commercial fishing boats to which they blocked off most of the parking so you couldn't get in there. Price of the food was outrageous $35 for two very very small pieces of halibut no longer than 3 inches long by 1 in by 1 in. TV worked absolutely nothing...

"The radiator heat was automatically set WAY too warm for the first 5 days, then was OK. We only used the fireplace once when the radiator heat had been off too long, and it warmed things right up. There was no heat control in the room, and it's such a pain to get a msg to the host, that we didn't bother. Not happy at all that the only way to contact the host is via VRBO, and talking with an East Indian whose English is hard to understand. Probably our last stay via VRBO! The waterfront view was...

"The Golden Alaska Lodge was such a treat. We loved staying away from town, the views of Silver Bay are amazing. It is such a peaceful home. The house is very clean, very well equipped for anything you may need. It was very comfortable. We enjoyed the spa and sauna after long days of fishing. Brian and Christine were great to work with. I definitely recommend booking this house if you are visiting Sitka!"
