Staff was excellent all the way around, from the security staff outside to the restaurant staff, cleaning staff and back down to the front desk. "My husband and I had a fabulous night at Daltons on Banana Island! The boat that ferried us across was complimentary and while the waters were choppy, we felt perfectly safe. Dress appropriately as your clothing will likely get wet! Daltons is rustic and simple. The room was clean and perfectly adequate. The meals were simple but tasty. "My room was one of the nicest I have ever had in Freetown and I have been traveling to Freetown since 1999. A comfortable bed and a very clean and well equipped bathroom. The breakfast was adequate, but the lack of AC in the large room is a bit uncomfortable in the hot season."

"The service was excellent. The rooms are cleaned every day by very attentive staff. Ask for anything - you get it within 5 mins. The Operations Manager Sunil is very pleasant and responds quickly. I would give Sunil and the staff an A . The variety of food at the restaurant was ok. One area for improvement is the gardens around the chalets. At the time we went they were a little unkempt. I think we went in the slow season. This however did not take away from our fun."

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The owners and manager were extremely friendly and accommodating. We were shown the facility and all the amenities personally by the manager. We got a good nights sleep as the beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked well. The food in the restaurant was also excellent."

"We had paid for reservation for 4 rooms for 4 people. Arrived late night/early morning 3.00 am and find out there are no rooms available because the hotel is being renovated. They directed us to go to a different hotel providing no further assitance. Why they accept reservation and payment when the rooms do not exist is any body's guess. They left us starnded. What if it was a family who has never travelled to Freetown before. Bad experience. "
