"We had a wonderful stay at this cozy little cabin on the lake. Thoughtfully designed, it included everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Inside, the classic Minnesota cabin aesthetic came through beautifully—plenty of pine tongue-and-groove paneling and charming wildlife decor set the tone.What really surprised me was the variety of waterfowl on the lake. As a lifelong Minnesotan, I spotted several birds I couldn’t even identify, which says something!I titled this a "Diamond in the Rough"...

"My two young sons and I had a very nice visit to The Boathouse. The lake is well used but not busy and the water is calm. We spent our time on the kayaks, fishing from the dock, and on land with a fire to warm up the cool summer evenings. The Boathouse is well-kept, comfortable, and charming and the hosts are delightful and generous. The drive into the twin cities is very easy. I would definitely recommend. "

"We had a wonderful, relaxing getaway. We loved the boathouse--cute, quaint, and right on the water. The air conditioning worked well and was a life-saver in the hot, humid weekend weather. The owners were friendly, responsive to questions, and communicated well. No real swimming area at the property (unless you went further out into the lake), but it was a lot of fun to take advantage of the provided kayaks and paddleboards. "This place is immaculate and just what we needed after a long bike ride on the trail. It’s in a great location, and even though a lot of the downtown store fronts are empty, we were able to walk to a nice restaurant. It has a loft feel with great decor/art and it’s in a great building space!"
