"If you're not a person who likes big resorts and looks for something a little more low key, The Hideaway is it. Beautiful, well-kept grounds. The room was fresh and clean. The pool and pavilion are in the middle of the cottages, and the beach is literally right outside the gate. My first day there, I had the entire beach to myself (beach is very nice and clean). "The apartment is tucked away in the hills west of Charlotte Amalie and offers spectacular views as well as a refuge from the huzzle and buzzle of down town. Charlene is a wonderful host; we received directions ahead of our arrival and she responded quickly to any queries during our stay. We changed to the larger apartment which was perfect for us as a family of three. This is an affordable, hidden gem. Go for it!"
