"Langt fra stjernerne Værelserne er dejlig store, men ikke særlig lydtætte. Dårlig Wifi eller snarre ingen på værelserne. Servicen fra personalet er meget svingende og de er ikke særlig venlig eller imødekommende, hverken ved pool eller restaurant. Vi havde bestilt værelse til 3, men da vi kom var der ikke redt op til 3. Så bad vi om det og så satte de blot sengetøjet udenfor døren. En dag manglede vi håndklæder og sådan fortsatte det..... Placering ved stranden var dejlig, men der er ikke...

"It was a very pleasant stay. The area is easily accessible to the entire island. The view & breeze was great to just lay back and take in. Slept like a rock. Excellent for relaxing after a busy day. The host/management was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Internet was stable enough for video conferencing. Cell reception ok. You should rent at a minimum an AWD to move around the island. Many roads are in dire need of repair/upgrade across the island. Taxis and public transportation is scant...

"We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!"

"Thank you Kathy for letting us stay in your beautiful condo. The view from the back deck is breathtaking and watching the sunset in the evening was one of the highlights of our trip. The sky lit up at sunset and the colors were almost unbelievable. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below was mesmerizing and I slept like a baby. We took trips all over the island and the location of the condo was perfectly positioned between the two major towns. We could walk to the restaurants right...

"Ive been coming to this area to Scuba Dive for 15 years. 9 years ago I married my wife in Carambola which is where Ive always stayed. This year we decided to give a rental property a try and boy are we happy. Not only was this property a short easy walk from all the amenities the area offers but the condo itself was impecable. Just bring your clothes and groceries because the rest from bottle openers to beach chairs to wine glasses and everything in between is right there and in great condition....

"Win is a great host. The location is perfect with restaurant and dive shop nearby plus great shore diving. The property is well maintained and has pretty much all you need for a great stay. We are coming back!"

"We had a very nice time at this condo. It is in a beautiful spot with the pool and beach! Unfortunately, it was extremely windy for our whole stay so we didn't get to go on our snorkel tour or snorkel at the beach, but, you can't control the weather! The condo is well equipped and clean and David was very responsive to our requests and prompt with replies. The condo is very dated but that was addressed in another review. I would love to come back once the renovations are done!"

"Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! The bed only has a sheet to sleep on, no blankets, and bring extra toilet paper,...

"We had a wonderful visit to Estate River. This large home had much space for our family group of 11 which included children. We liked the central location which is 10 minutes to Cane Bay and Carambola and 20 minutes to Fredriksted. Estate River is private and quiet. The property manager was very responsive and provided everything for which we asked. "

"Not fancy but clean. As advertised. Property short way up a hill from Beach with beautiful pristine water with a decent reef tropicals by the dozen. Need a car. Watch out for the potholes as you drive the island. Worth it."

"2 couples stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment. Great place. A/C works great and they had all my favorite TV channels and all the beach gears that we needed. I am definitely coming back."

"Fantastic hotel. We returned after 20 years (now with kids of 9 and 13) and had again a fantastic vacation at The Buccaneer. The beaches, pool and tennis courts are very nice and a very serviceminded staff made our stay unforgettable. Love the place and will be returning."

Slow place with a view

"Stedet får dig ned i gear, når du sidder i restauranten og ser havet og palmerne. Servicen i restauranten er langsom til gengæld kom tjeneren lidt for tit og spurgte om alt var ok, hvilket var lidt svært at finde et nyt svar på, når maden enten ikke var kommet eller forkert. Midt i hovedretten fik vi regningen. Generelt var personalet lidt svært at få fat, når man ville spørge om noget. Jeg måtte finde en facility manager efter at rengøringen havde ledt efter personalet til at checke os ud. Han ringede så til en leder, som blot bad os om at lægge nøglen på disken ved check out. Værelset var ok med fin seng. De andre møbler står og rokker lidt. Fin udsigt og direkte adgang til stranden fra terrassen. "

"Absolutely amazing! The best hotel ever! Traveling with my family and we had concerns about the “option free clothing”-pool, but it’s on the other side of the road and you can choose to go or not. Everybody’s so kind and welcoming."
