"YIKES. Black mold and rust all over the bathroom ceiling and in the AC vents. Given the way the ceiling looked, I can't imagine the whole place not being infested with mold. The sink and shower water smelled VERY strongly of sulfur (rotten egg/fart smell) and I smelled awful after a quick shower. Whenever we washed our hands, the room would stink. There was a dirty washcloth in the shower upon arrival. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the fridge was big. It was a rough stay. Expedia said...

"Truthfully, my favorite economy hotel experience I've ever had. My wife and I stumbled upon this place on the way home from a trip to Chicago a year ago- it was such a great experience that we took our family of 5 back for a weekend trip. Beautiful atmosphere, clean rooms, restaurants & ice cream shop on-site, and our kids LOVED all of the activities, farm experiences, and green space surrounding the property. "After making a reservation about two weeks in advance, we get there late in the evening to find out they do not have a room available that we reserved. Then, we reluctantly agreed to another room and the smoke smell was so strong. We went to the desk to ask for another room and were told they did not have any other rooms. We had to go to another establishment and find a room. Don’t waste your time. "

" The cabin was clean and the lake and beach area were nice. Some suggestions, there was no frying pan to cook breakfast. An added mirror in the bedrooms would be nice with only one bathroom. And the nightstand as a dresser did not leave enough room for 2 people. We had to leave the clothes in our suitcase.Overall though it was a nice place to stay."
