"The room was nothing like the modern pictures shown on the website. The amenities are old and laminated cabinets are chipped. Toilet, vanity sink, and the whole room requires updating. Air conditioning and tap water are hard to control. Best thing about the place is location and drive in layout."

"We were out during each of the 4 days we were there, but the garden are looked very nice.However the driveway was a nightmare and we had to negotiate the curve with 2 “back & fill” when driving to the door to drop our luggage.We parked 1/2 way up the drive in the guests’ area because part of our stay there were other people parked at the top. Just as well it wasn’t raining, in which case we would have gone elsewhere.At the bend in the drive on the road side there is a precipitous drop, so really...

"A charming house in the middle of nowhere. Loved listening to the birds and watching the sheep, rabbits and ducks from the veranda. Fireplace heats though the whole place. We will be back"

"Very picturesque. The room was large with a comfortable bed and two comfortable armchairs. The bathroom was adequate but the mirror placement is a bit awkward for ladies though there is a larger mirror within the closet door. Quite clean with coffee and tea available and a generous fruit bowl. The split system was great and it is very quiet spot. The owner was very warm and welcoming as well as helpful with directions. "

"Elbert’s property was a perfect choice for a quiet getaway with our two dogs! The dogs loved the space to run around and we had a great time hanging out by the dam, in the canoe, playing tennis and stargazing at night.
