"I was at a music festival and it was hot. Looked up motel in the area. Everything in town full. 9 miles away I found this little place. Reviews were not great but I was done camping. Arrived to a newly outside painted, signed in, went to the room and it was newly painted, new flooring, new fixtures in bathroom and furniture. Air conditioner new and was great relief. Manager went out of his way to ask if everything was ok every time I returned. Review trolls be damned..get a life. "

"This is our main place to stay when visiting family in Alturas. Artia was a great help to us checking in. Somehow Expedia booked 2 rooms and I only needed 1 room. She was able to help get that cancelled. My main complaint is the bathrooms need to be updated at least the flooring"

"This is not a modern hotel, so if you're looking for that, this ain't it. That said, I had a wonderful time. It's like staying at a museum. It's clean, and the bathrooms work perfectly well, but it is an old structure with its quirks. It's like cilantro: you're either gonna love it or hate it. I loved it. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. If I ever end up in that neck of the woods, I'm staying there again. Staying at Motel 6 or Super 8 is usually not memorable, and if it is, it's...
