"We really enjoyed staying at Kagura White Horse Inn. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It's located almost right across the road from Kagura ski resort so extremely convenient with easy bus access. If we have a minor gripe (not the fault of the lodgings), it's that the only eating place for dinner was the nearby "roadside stop" about 10-15 minutes walk away. We could have taken a taxi into town but after a day's skiing, you're usually tired and usually want to dine somewhere close and...

"Great spot, came with a ticket to the Onsen down the street. Very accommodating and allowed me to leave bags there after I checked out and went to ski. Very nice place!! "

"Hotel is okay from a room/cleaniness. Check-in was a problem with both hotels.com and the actual check-in. Hotels.com doesn't handle international travel well as they didn't put in that the room we chose was double occupancy. It's not in our receipt which is telling me that it probably got lost in the email to the hotel. It's in the app but apparently that wasn't relayed to the hotel. When we checked in, the reception said it was for single occupancy although we paid the double rate already...

"It was great experience staying at this place. Right after we went to gala Yuzawa ski came back to the hotel and dipped ourselves into the large Ofuro in the basement. Smoking was not allowed inside or well outside the house so it was the only problem me and my friends faced during the stay but all in all we enjoyed our stay at the place. Place is warm and cozy. Recommend for friends and family or in groups over 5 people. "

"Takanoya is a wonderful traditional ryukan style onsen. I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean and well kept, the onsen is hot and private, and the proprietor is thoughtful and generous."
