"We found the location to be on the right side of isolated. We quickly fell in love with the Taff Bargoed Valley and its surrounds. Each day tempted us to take a new lane up into the moors and explore the places we were driving through to get to our chosen destination for that day.The dog walking area is close and a joy to walk to and through. The local shop is no distance and supplied enough for for our needs.The beds and pillows are comfy as is the sofa.Having a dishwasher was a bonus,...

"The hotel is in the middle of farmland. Close to sites nearby IF you have a car. Bar and restaurant included as well as spa and training possibilities. We didn’t took advantage of that. We ate in the restaurant and the bar. Unfortunately the mrs’s Steak was all most impossible to cut which was a draw back from a pleasant stay. Got compensated with extra wine. Staff very attentive and service minded. Big rooms with lots of light. "

"Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel appearance looked good. Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and tidy buy very dated. Needs a fresh coat of paint and a shower cubicle instead of a shower over the bath it’s not safe for elderly people. There were toiletries to use. It would be economical to have a hand soap dispenser instead of a bar of soap. But we had an enjoyable stay."

"What a lovely room at the top of a pub. Beautifully presented and pristine and lots of space although steep steps. There are a few quirks as to be expected in an old building but that didn’t put us off as we ourselves live in an old property. Communication was very good. Thank you for having us 😊"

"This place is a wip, but you can see they are making improvements and working hard to get it sorted. Was clean, warm and overlooking fantastic views which you would pay for in other venues. Food good. Activities like games and mags available, a bar and of course the bike.used as a stop off. Would stay again."

"Very nice staff but the hotel is of extreeme poor standards. The rooms were sort of clean but carpets were very dirty. We had 2 rooms, 1 of standard room-size and 1 smaller than a closet. Breakfast options were small and we got offered just coffee or juice. Not both so we hade to decide. Everything about this hotel itself, the surroundings, the breakfast etc was so bad that se decided to leave the hotel after just 1 night allthough we had prepaid for 2 nights. Only positive to say about this...
