"Absolutely recommend this property. The staff is amazing! We did a couple of the activities and love them. Definitely do the horse back riding tour! The food is delicious, the rooms are comfortable and where this property shines is on the little details- turn down service, with fireplace, chocolate and hot water bottles to keep the bed warm."

"Beautiful, rustique hacienda in the middle of amazing mountain landscapes. Everything is stone and wood. Very athmospheric. Everything was comfortable and clean, and the food was good. Staff was helpful. Only problem for us was the height sickness, but you can't blame Hacienda Los Mortinos for that. Also, it gets cold at night. The fireplace in our room kept us warm in the evening, but it was chilly in the morning. If you're a nature person you won't mind too much."

"Be sure to confirm reservations - there was some confusion about ours. The owner does not speak English so communicate through Expedia. The hot water was not working (was fixed eventually) and the place was a bit difficult to find. However, it was clean and comfortable - there was even a hot tub with jets in the bathroom. The owner tried very hard to help us. I would recommend staying, just keep the above in mind."

"We booked a private room for 1 night, weeks in advance. We arrived at 1700 to an empty front desk and other travelers also waiting to check-in. We were told that rooms needed to be cleaned and we could wait. This wasn’t a big deal as we sat in the dining area. The employee didn’t offer us wifi or water, but made an espresso drink for another guest of the property. "Amazing history, everywhere you walk. Smelt good despite everything being old so appreciated! Not really established as a hotel though more a monastery maybe. Place was cold. Had to ask for fireplace to be made up. No heating anywhere else in the hotel. No ambiance, dead quiet everywhere. One friendly receptionist / manager, everyone else seemed impossible to get hold of. Food arrived cold, which given the place was cold I guess it wad standard. Some of the food on the menu that they did have,...

"They are not prepared to host a solo traveler. A locked gate that does not allow freedom of entry and exit to the premises Electricity and lighting were sporatic. Water had to be turned on exteriorally and did not work in the morning. No water, no shower, hard to even brush me teeth. Need to read a manual on simple hosting basics! The kid was nice enough, but this is not a place to stay under any circumstances"
