"Great place to stay! Clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet, cozy! We explored all over the north island and this was the perfect “home base”. Alyce at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. The grounds are very pretty and well maintained. All the amenities you could need are there. Even a heated bathroom floor!! (We loved that!)"

"Wish we had read the reviews. We probably wouldn't have booked. Definitely not value for money. No real amenities, not even a bar of soap in our ensuite room. No tv, pretty much a bed and towels. Water was lukewarm in shower and we were worried it was going to flood until hubby used his foot as a plunger for drain . Pub music only played till 11pm thank goodness."

"Our room was clean and compact. We were late arriving so the heat pump had been put on warm the room for our arrival. There was a large powerful microwave which was great to heat our late supermarket meal. Nice big comfortable bed with comfy pillows. We were given a generous amount of milk in glass bottles which was appreciated. Great room for our short stay 👌"

"Good hospitality - nice room and a lovely view over the lake/river. Honestly is it a little bit overprized with 10-20 km to nearest restaurant. Breakfast lovely and you fell yourself at home."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a close drive to all the things we wanted to see in the area. The space is bright and the country views are amazing! We loved sipping our coffee in the mornings on the large patio outside. Great place for star gazing at night also! The beds were comfy, the bathroom heater was great and we also liked having the kitchen to cook some of our own meals in. The space was cozy and relaxing to come back to after busy days of touring around. There was one issue...

"The location and property were lovely! Everything we needed to cook or wash our clothes was available and in good condition. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Definitely thinking about an excuse to stay here again!"

"This home was a wonderful place to stay for our family of five as we explored the north Island. We used it as our homebase for three nights while we explored Rotorua and Hobbiton. The house were extremely kind and gracious, and they even had a fire going for us when we got to the house two of our three nights that we were there. They were extremely kind, and the house was wonderful. Very peaceful. Would highly recommend anyone staying in this area to stay here – you won’t regret it!"

"Lovely little cottage with plenty of privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. It's a bit rustic, which adds to its charm, and we really enjoyed our stay. The spa area could benefit from a few small improvements, but it was still a nice feature and didn't take away from the experience. Overall, a great place to relax, and we'd happily stay again."
