"We unintentionally became guests at a three-day influencer party that we were neither invited to nor wanted to be part of. During our stay, most of the hotel had been booked by a group of entrepreneurs and influencers from across Africa. This meant huge speakers with heavy bass placed just five meters from our room, blasting loud and over-the-top TikTok videos late into the evening.
