"Be aware that there is a £5 per night parking charge which, to be honest is just money making for the sake of it as no justification. Also best avoided for a family break due to every night we were there The outside tables were full of people drinking, being loud, foul mouthed and smoking. The first morning there was constant loud banging of doors for about 3 hours. The room was a decent size and reception staff were helpful when they are around. "As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not"

"Despite the large rooms, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The beds are overdue to be replaced. Lots of piling on them and they didn’t have a fitted sheet. You could feel the bumps of the older mattress through the sheet that was on top of the bed. The sheet on top of the bed didn’t cover the entire mattress. It would roll up and expose the mattress in the night. I had to constantly get out of bed and pull it back over the bare worn mattress. Very poor lighting in the room and...
