"The Grand Dragon Hotel is great. The staff are great, the food is great, and the rooms are great. On our return of the hotel after a few days in the Nubra Valley, we were given our old room, which was perfect. The war began the night prior to our planned departure for Delhi, and all flights were (and are) cancelled indefinitely. The owner of The Grand Dragon has graciously provided FREE accommodation and FREE dining until such time as we are able to get transportation from Leh! What could...

"Hotel is good, pleasing building and rooms. Location is good, with shops, restaurants & cafes available nearby. Driving to the hotel is a little complicated even with maps due to narrow roads around. Rooms, linen & toilets are clean. Room has a standing fan and heater. Hot water available all day. There is no lift/elevator and have to climb stairs each time which is quite tedious in this altitude. Carrying luggage is next to impossible by us but staff will do it. Free Parking is available...

"The food was fantastic. Zagmo and the kitchen staff turned out excellent food. The India food was much better than any Indian Restaurant we know on Vancouver Island, and the kitchen staff was able to make excellent Western style breakfasts when we wanted them. All of the staff were great, from the front desk to the porters. Even if I were to stay in a less expensive hotel in Hunder, I would definitely come to this hotel just for the meals!"

"A perfect 10/10 stay at this stunning property in Nubra Valley! It’s one the most beautiful & well equipped resorts I have had the chance to stay in Ladakh. The rooms are nothing short of spectacular. They are spacious, clean and very thoughtfully designed. The attention to detail is commendable. The food & spa facilities were something that I was pleasantly surprised with. I haven’t had better food in Ladakh! 🙌"

"Norbu the hotel GM was excellent. He personally made sure that the stay was comfortable and any of our needs were addressed. In fact, while embarrassing to state in a review, we ran out of cash and he lent us Rs. 5000/= going out of the way. That was a very trusting gesture on his part. Norbu also helped us get the visitor permit from the local DM’s office which helped us move forward with our trip. "Amazing Hosts. Wonderful place. We loved our visit and will have a long memory of Laddakh in our lives because of great hotel staff. Don't forget to ask for Dorjee driver for your taxi travel. One of the best driver I have every driven with (and you will need it because of rough terrain). I could trust him with my family in car on treacherous Himalayan roads and a whole bunch of aggressive drivers around."
