You enter via the side door and take the stairs to your right. One the second floor there is a second locked door continuing on up the same staircase. "Nice cozy retreat for me and my wife on our anniversary. Comfy bed, the two AC units worked great! TV’s in both living room and bedroom. Games were left for residents to play. Definitely a 5 star. A couple things (very small things) could make it even better. Having a few suggestions of places to eat would be helpful. Those could be written down with the notes on the counter. "The memorial service for my brother was held here and it was beautiful. The owners are wonderful people that made a difficult day something very special. The cabins are nice, clean, each unique and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We will be returning as a family soon so we can enjoy the beauty of the place. "

Only complaints were the glass door on one of the downstairs bedrooms and the transom over the door of the downstairs bathroom. You can see into the bathroom from the stairway. Also, the doorknob was missing from the outside half bath and there wasn't a covered trash can on the road at the end of the driveway. The ad makes no mention of availability of M.O., coffee pot, place settings, which were very much appreciated, nor absence of kitchen, so we brought our own. "We had a great time at the cabin. The windows overlooking the lake are such a beautiful thing to wake up to. We plan to book next year and allow ourselves more time to enjoy the amenities offered! We caught 6 fish in the early morning on the dock with little effort at. Our kids enjoyed the paddle boats/kayaks and water slide. It was a very relaxing place to stay and our neighbors in the cabin next door were great! Thanks for a great experience!"

"Our 2 day stay at Melody's Bed and Breakfast was such a wonderful and unique experience. Patti and Issa were marvelous hosts and so graciously gave us a very informative tour of the farm. Our granddaughters enjoyed seeing all of the animals as well as petting a pig.Patti shared some of their farm-fresh eggs and peach jam that she had made.
