Only drawbacks, floors were a little dirty. If there was a regular mop, I would have cleaned the floors! Ants around the sink, and strong odor from someone’s previous pet visit. All manageable and I’d stay there again! "

"Our family had a lovely time at Walker Creek. We enjoyed the spacious house, ate family dinners at the dining table, and played several games of pool in the game room. My husband and son fished every morning using the kayak, canoe, or just walking into the creek. The property is beautiful and peaceful. On our last morning there, my son was fishing, of course, and saw four otters swimming in the creek. They were so curious about what he was doing. It was a great family getaway!"

"We had a wonderful time and there was enough room to invite family over for a cookout and also space to have a quiet time away from the crowd. It was easy to find and not far from a lot of activities. I would definitely consider coming back on our next trip to the mountains."

Was most entertaining to sit in the evenings on the porch and watch the goats battle for sleeping places.As an aside, as it is a farm, there are outdoor cats so if you have a cat allergy just be aware. They do not come in the house at all. "

"The place is totally awesome. My family of 10 came in for a wedding from Alabama & Pennsylvania . It had well enough bedding and very large open kitchen with living room concept for all of us to be together. The house her been recently renovated and has beautiful colors and very large bathrooms . My grandkids were able to play in the creek that was in the backyard . We are coming back for another family wedding in October and will definitely try to get the house again."

"Our 4 night stay was wonderful, the inside has been recently renovated albeit it looks like some work is still being done in certain areas. It certainly did not deter from the overall experience and the owners have done a great job with the improvements thus far. The kitchen is amazing for cooking and entertaining. The house has an in-line water heater which was nice! The location is 45 minutes from Winterplace ski resort and about a 15 min car ride to most retail restaurant establishments. ...

It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again."

"My husband and I stayed for two nights while dropping our daughter off at Virginia Tech. I was slightly nervous, as the description of the house said rustic (in all caps). We were very pleasantly surprised. The house had a ton of character, and the property was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside listening to the creek, and watching the cows go by. The house was very comfortable, and clean. Unfortunately, we did not meet Daffy the duck. Hopefully next time, we plan to come back!"

"Property was exactly as described in listing, and a great location for venturing out to explore the surrounding mountain area. Very quiet, peaceful, with wonderful front porch views of the creek. Everything you could possibly need was provided, including S'MORES ingredients, which was a nice, thoughtful touch. Bed was comfy, and it was lovely to go to sleep with the nighttime sounds of crickets in the background. Communication with property manager, Hannah, was smooth, easy, and timely. I wish...

"We stayed in this rental for my daughter’s Virginia Tech graduation. I’m 100% going to come back. The property was beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. The owners were super responsive, kind, and attentive. I only wish we hadn’t been running the roads back and forth to Blacksburg because it was entirely relaxing to sit out and enjoy the creek. We loved our stay and look forward to returning."
