"I was elk hunting near Rico and used your room as my hunting camp. Didn't mind the bathroom being down the hall - much more comfortable than sleeping in a tent! (Yes, I got a big elk opening morning.) "

"Classic old mining town stay. The bar below is a staple in Rico and the accommodation transports you to those mining times, with wonderfully updated amenities. This is the second time we have stayed here, both times were easy, magical and comfortable. Cant wait to return! "

"We loved our stay at the Laughing Coyote. If you are looking for quiet and solitude, this is the place. The cabin was comfy and had everything we needed. We explored the MANY trails around the area and fell more in love with the western side of the San Juans. Helpful info to know: you are 38 miles (1 hour drive) from Dolores on dirt roads. The roads to/from Rico are not as maintained so the drive is over an hour. The distance didn't bother us, since the views are breathtaking either direction....

"This tiny house was situated on a cattle ranch. In the evenings we would hang out with the cows and enjoy the view of the nearby mountains. It was incredibly peaceful! Our dog loved the stay as well. The house had everything we needed. We used the grill one night which was a great option and we were close to Mesa Verde National Park."

"I haven't seen stars like that since I was a kid on the farm. The place is so nice you forget you're in a teepee. Saw a family of deer moments after arriving and archery and axe throwing was a great way to stretch our legs after a long drive. "

"We made so many joyful family memories in this beautiful mountain setting! We were 17 adults and six very young children, and the house accommodated the whole group in charming, rustic comfort. We enjoyed four full days of hiking and fishing on the extended property; lounging and chatting on the deck; gathering for games, singing and meals; finding quiet spaces to read or nap. Sara was a wonderful host who even arranged for group photos at a perfect spot on the property. All in all, a delightful...
