"If you want peace and quiet this is a must. I loved the sustainable living and having never stayed in a place like this, i found it to be an amazing experience. Even my 13 year old loved it, late at night she made a cup of tea and sat outside just in awe of the quiet. Me i enjoyed my complimentary wine while stargazing and listening to the sounds of nature. "Staying at The Grand is like stepping into a different world. The furnishings, antiques and attention to detail make you feel like you just don't want to be anywhere else. But the best part was the graciousness of hosts Paul and Brenden. Absolute gentlemen who made me feel at home in those sumptuous surroundings. "Wonderful place for our family trip to Devonport. Being a midwinter trip we were worried it might be cold but plenty of extra blankets were provided and heating was great. Very comfortable beds including sofa bed. Well stocked kitchen. Perfect location for exploring don railway, penguins at Lilico beach and heading into Devonport. "

I would have liked a spot that wasn't the shared bathroom sink to rinse and wash out my coffee press and travel mug, and fill the room kettle. But so saying it was very reasonably priced and the continental breakfast was terrific."
