"It is understandable that the place appears run down the building has been around since the first Bush administration. with that said, I think the staff has done a great job with the canvas they have been given to paint on. they were very helpful. the room itself had a funky smell to it immediately that I never got used to and the shades are old and do not block out the sun early in the morning from an eastern facing room."

"A very low rate for the night and the room was very clean and bed was fine. Had a slight smoke smell but was not bad. I couldn’t TV to work, no Kleenex, no coffee pot or other amenities. I got a good nights rest so pleased"

"My hosts were very cordial and kind. The bunkhouse was enjoyable for a relaxing break with a wood burning stove and a dark sky to view the stars. Their ranch dogs were well trained to engage with me when I wanted to spend time with them. "

"Nice beds and TVs in all 5 rooms. Large kitchen and great outdoor seating spaces. Cozy and family friendly. Nice location close to Johnson Lake State Park for fishing. A little bit of a walk to the beach to swim."
