"We were in the area visiting our son at Moody Air Force Base and wanted a place that was clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. We stumbled upon The Painted Sky Homestead and couldn't be more impressed. Not only was the apartment cozy and clean, but it had everything you could want and need for a family stay. Check in was easy and straightforward. The property was welcoming and so were the sheep and goats. The kitchen was stocked with whatever you needed to make meals, the bathroom was roomy,...

"Intentional luxury. Everything in this “apartment” (which is as big as a house) has been well thought out and intentionally placed to make your stay comfortable and convenient. From the labeling of light switches to the make up wash cloths. This has the feel of a luxury hotel but in the country. I won’t hesitate to use and recommend to anyone."

"House is beautiful and great location. Bunk bed mattress was perfect if you like a hard bed (which I do!). Others mattresses do roll you towards the middle but the adults that slept in them said ok. No ping pong table as described. Fun to sit and match the ducks on the pond. Did have problem with getting code to get in but communication with property manager was quick. Overall would recommend. "

"I literally grew up on that land. property was right down the road from the house i grew up in. it brought back a ton of memories and I got the chance to fish in pond with my 2 sons that Ive fished in countless times as a kid. property itself was amazing, perfect setting for that "country" life. will definitely be re-renting when i go visit family again. (wonder if property is for sale...)"

"For a couple of years now we have been staying here. When we turn the lock it is just like entering home. We love to sit in the chairs out front and listen to the crickets . In the mornings we enjoy watching the birds. We love the country setting but yet close enough to everything. We are very thankful that the owners open the barn for people to enjoy!"

"We come to the barn twice a year ! When we open the door it’s like coming home . We love to sit on the front porch and listen to nature and just rock our stress away . The couple who own it are just as sweet and we feel like they are family . We always enjoy seeing them and chatting with them. It’s convenient to town but is located out of town and has the nature we love ."
