"This was the perfect cozy getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. McGregor is a cute little river town surrounded by beautiful bluffs. There were several state parks and other cute nearby towns to explore. The Chalet was perfect for us. Jason was easy to reach and quick to respond to messages. "

It was nice to be back in a farmhouse and you can see they took care to show the history and labor of love the home was. There were little things here and there that reminded me of my grandparents farmhouse and it was nice to reminisce."

"This unique place has it all: charm, class, comfort, beauty, and fun. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a gorgeous staircase leading to most of the rooms. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is equipped for anything and everything with seating for eight. The adjoining dining room has a large table with additional seating and windows lining two walls. And clean! This VRBO was impressively clean! I have to say the jail was a little eery after dark, but...

"We rented the whole house for the weekend. Perfect location for hosting the family and friends of the groom for a nearby wedding. A lot of beds to accommodate everyone. And plenty of open space to gather and have fun. While also plenty of space to have quiet time away from others. Suggest they build out a full bath on the lower level (cell area). Also need more "soft" seats. "

"What a cute place to have a romantic getaway!!! The vibe is coozy, the views breathtaking!!! The town was so friendly!!! I would absolutely stay here again!!! And since everyone else addressed the train i will too. I loved it lolol!! It was part od the experience and once you turn the fans on i slept right through it!! Seeing all the barges was awesome too!!!!"

"Really cute & clean property! Historic building well maintained. Host communicated clearly with us sending parking, WiFi & security lock information prior to arrival. There was a problem getting the message from VRBO as reservation was booked through Expedia but host responded quickly & resent. We were 12.5 hours from home but this was a great home away from home! "
