"This place is in town and close to shops and restaurants. The train tracks across the street are busy with freight trains, so that can get loud. Inside is clean. The kitchenette is small but has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is a large table and chairs in the main room with 2 beds. I found the main room to be a little dark, even with all the lights on. Overall, an excellent place to stay and the owners were communicative and responded promptly to messages."

The house was clean, well-lit, and had such a cozy feel - especially the super comfy bed. "The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!"

"The space was welcoming, clean and quiet. It’s a fabulous location. We were at a family reunion but the location near the park offers a lot of recreational opportunities. There is a surprising amount of sleeping space. Shari was very responsive so any questions were addressed quickly. It was very hot so we didn’t spend much time outside but the new patio with the fire pit would be fantastic for cooler evenings. "Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible."

"This property is well appointed and has a beautiful view of the river. There were 10 of us staying and we had plenty of room to relax and have privacy. The location is great for fishing, boat rental, and it has a convenience store very near. The train tracks are near which adds to the charm in our opinion. Ear plugs provided worked well. I highly recommend."

"The property was very clean, comfortable and very inviting! My husband loved it and he is really particular, however I am a light sleeper and the train woke me up around 3:30 am and I couldn't get back to sleep. However, we knew about the train being close to the property prior to booking."
