"I normally stay at Barkley Lake State Resort but decided to make the extra drive to check out the Pennyrile Golf Course. So glad we did. The lodge was just as beautiful as well as the grounds and the area in general. Will definitely return with couples for more golfing next year. The place was practically empty, not sure why because we had a wonderful stay. You'd think it would be hard to secure a room. I have NEVER seen any marketing or advertising for Pennyrile other than flyers at the park...

"It was a great location for us not too far from a boat ramp and close to grocery store. we could easily come back when needed and also shop for whatever we need. Yard with plenty of room for the kids to play when we weren't at the lake. "

"This is a wonderful farmhouse surrounded by cornfields: all the peace and quiet you want, but within 15 minutes from whatever you need. The house was clean and well-equipped, and the hosts seem to have thought of every detail to make your stay a pleasant one. We also loved reading about the history of the house and its previous occupants! Great experience all around. "
