Morgenmaden var ikke så spændende, jeg havde valgt buffet, men de hyggelige omgivelser opvejede det så rigeligt! Vil bestemt overnatte der igen, hvis jeg kommer til Colchester!"

"Room was clean and the young person was so very helpful Breakfast was excellent and cooked perfect both mornings I commented to the young chef that cooked our breakfast on Wednesday morning. What a fantastic job he had made. Even the waitress listen to instructions about tea and toast and followed them to the letter The only thing I’d probably say that was missing was the attached pub/bar only did lunchtime meals and not evening"

"I had a lovely stay! The cleaning was okay, but it could have been a bit better. The staff was really nice and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was amazing!!! The one down side, there was a very bad draft the first night, they took a look at it, and the second night, there were still a draft, but not as bad. And that was the only thing, otherwise it was fantastic!"

"This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

"Nice tidy and clean room that looked like it had been recently fitted out. Decent sized Kitchen at each end of the corridor i didn't use them but they looked fully kitted out and new. The hotel is on a quiet residential street but took me 5mins to walk into the town centre which has loads of bars, shops and restaurants. Worth calling ahead of arrival and they'll reserve you a parking spot (There aren't many spots) Nice bloke on reception showed us our rooms and kindly found me a fan. "
