", We booked through Expedia, but when we arrived the host had no knowledge that we were expected. As you might expect, they were taken completely by surprise. Nevertheless, every effort was made to accommodate us and to make thing right. So very nice people to have encountered. The hotel is not quite so newly refurbished as stated, but warmth and hospitality have so much more value and feeling that you leave as friends is priceless.."

"We stayed 2 nights in Covarrubias. We originally planned to use the town as a base to explore the surrounds, but were enchanted by the charm of the town and didn’t leave during our stay. Cafes open around 10am and it’s easy to while away a day slowly exploring the streets, stopping for a coffee, wine or beer at regular intervals and having a lay siesta."

"First thing we noticed was the lovely smell everywhere. There was a very pleasant feel to the place, & everywhere was very clean. The receptionist was very helpful. Our room was on the top floor (with no lift), which was a little inconvenient as we had several bags, the dog & his bed to carry up & down. The bathroom was adequate but tiny. The location in the town square, with parking right opposite was excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stopover en route to or from...

"Wonderful hotel, full of character and so quiet. The room was clean with a modern on suite and all the usual safety features that you would expect in a much den hotel. We could have spent all day looking at the very old Spanish decoration of the hotel. We had breakfast and was made very welcome with a very high spec continental spread. Highly recommended."

From help with booking buses, arriving just in time to take our suitcases in the car rather than us pulling them up the hill, to kindly driving us to the supermarket, our host Alicia could not have been kinder.
