"My husband and I came here for an overnight stay to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted by Fiona the receptionist who was so welcoming and very friendly. She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble in asking for anything. We loved our room which was spacious, clean and very cozy! We both had a good nights sleep too. We are both vegan and had a lovely vegan breakfast that was hot, fresh and delicious! Service was friendly and quick too. Thank you so much to the lovely lady who served...

"Fantastic old property that has been sympathetically restored / converted with fantastic rooms. Brilliant breakfast and typical Peak District hospitality….. Easy walk into the village too, where there’s shops and a couple of very good pubs too. We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longer…. Hell Yeah!"

"Close to the M1 and as we were visiting family it was in the right place and there was shopping nearby which was excellent. The hotel was easy to find and everything was excellent especially the staff who were very polite and helpful. When we visit again in the new year we will be staying here again."

"One night stay was good for what we needed just very dusty , cobwebs everywhere , dust in the air vent in the bathroom , cracks and screws hanging out. Would stay again as the room is adequate just needs abit of a clean. "

"I don’t know if the single room isn’t used much, but there was spider webs in the corners, you could feel the spring in the madras. The window was worn out. The daily cleaning was ok. "

"Friendly staff and a very large quiet room. Had very good night's sleep. The hotel is set in a suburban area away from the centre of Alfreton but it means it was very quiet with trees and a recreation ground behind. The staff were very helpful with a sense of humour. Made sure I had exactly what I needed for breakfast. "

"The room was lovely (room 5) with a very comfy bed, decent enough facilities, but no complimentary biscuits, which is unusual, but understandable in these times. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rushed off their feet as most places, but knew what they were doing. Food was lovely and varied, breakast and dinner"

"Take yourself back in time to an era we all want to recreate away from this troubling world. I was hoping for a spitfire to zoom overhead at anytime. A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat."

"We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!"

"Super beliggenhed i centrum og ved Victoria centre. Sauna, dampbad, pool og træningscenter på hotellet. God morgenmad. Airconditionanlæg på værelset. Shampoo, conditioner, creme på værelset. Meget venligt peronale."

"The room I ordered was a double room with a double bed. The room I got was a double room with a double bed + one extra bed, which was quite big. This meant that there was almost no extra floor space. Very disappointing. The door lock was almost out of battery, which meant that I had to go down to the reception numerous times to have it fixed. They did not fix it first time... just very irritating. When the manager finally pulled himself together and showed up, it was in a very demonstrative manner as if "Do you see I am fixing it for you now?", as if he was doing me some special favour. I give it two stars. One for the very kind and always helpful cleaning staff and another for the breakfast. That hotel really needs new management. The staff is uneducated and uninspired."
