- Located within walking distance to the Raymond Island Ferry, this holiday home provides fantastic access to all of Raymond Island and Paynesville village. Enjoy a short walk to a family-friendly, sheltered cove that is perfect for paddling, follow the meandering boardwalk along the lakefront, or try a spot of sightseeing for koalas along the Koala Trail at the end of the road.
Just 800 m from the main esplanade of Paynesville, the property boasts a fully equipped kitchen, tasteful modern furnishings, an open living area, and 2 private bedrooms and bathrooms.
For boating enthusiasts, guests also have access to a private jetty berth, providing a convenient place to moor your boat and explore the stunning Gippsland Lakes at your leisure.
Enjoy a BBQ get-together in the spacious backyard with an undercover eating area, or enjoy watching a movie by the indoor fireplace (BYO Wood). It’s the perfect getaway in all seasons.

Excellent rental in close vicinity of the ferry and the Koala trail where we discovered ten's of koalas. This is a great place to visit. The rental is just beautiful, clean and newly refurbished. A place to go!

Great property design, plenty of space and little extras available. The island is a top location and the ferry adds to the fun. loads of trails and lanes right on the door step. Even when the lakes area is busy with crowds this place is very quiet and peaceful

This house has been freshly renovated and fitted out. Good points, the renovation, the rear outlook, the big TV. We found the bed very firm and there was nowhere near enough cutlery and no baking dishes.

Spotless modern inside ample tea coffee etc. Even an air fryer. Kangaroos hopping over the fence. We saw koalas. Even a mum and baby crossed the road in front of us. Bad mosquitoes. Remember repellent. Property is for sale so I don’t know how long it will be available.

Koala Songs is a well laid out light-filled house with lots of views. Kitchen design is good, with induction cooktop. We had our small dog and both the front and back yards are very secure even for a Jack Russell sized dog, which is great because several "dog-friendly" houses we've stayed in do not have a secure yard for the smaller dog. The back yard is great to relax in. The koala area of the island is just a short stroll and the ferry is not too far.

The property was exactly as advertised, clean and well-maintained. The check in/out process was very smooth and customer friendly. Regarding activities and attractions offered by Raymond Island, everything was in line with the expected full immersion in an outstanding natural context. The only note is the absolute absence of shops in the island. Maybe a coffee shop or a small grocery would improve the overall experience.

My family loves the tranquility and unspoiled natural environment of Raymond Island, and have visited it for several years. We always book our accommodation through Gippsland Lake Escapes, and have never been disappointed with the quality of the various houses we have stayed in on the island.This time we spent a long Easter weekend at Koalas Song, a very nice renovated house in a quiet back street backing on to bushland and fields, and only 5 minutes walk to the ferry across to Paynesville. The weather was chilly but the wood burning stove kept us nice and warm.

Island life amongst the koalas
House accurately described with modern comfortable amenities. Backing onto nature reserve but unable to sit outside due to excessive mosquito activity. Mosquitoes bad inside upon arrival and no insect spray provided. First purchase from mainland next day! Unfortunately this did impact on our enjoyment of the property. Very safe enclosed garden for our dog.

Peaceful and idyllic
We had a wonderful time at Koalas songs. The property was well appointed and had everything we needed. The renovations were done really nicely and the belied the rather aging exterior. It was warm and cosy - at least in the main living areas. The bedrooms could do with some heating as they were very cold in the dead of night, even if we left the doors open for the heat to circulate. The access to the Koala and Nature Walks were wonderful. We even had a koala nestled in the tree in the backyard at one stage. The property managers were wonderful. I locked myself out stupidly and gave them a call at 9pm and they were quickly helped, sorting out a spare key for me. As I said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If I had one negative, being well over 6 foot, the chairs and couch were a little too low for me, but otherwise, it was awesome.

Problem with automated key delivery system meant 3/4 hr of worry
Fixed by friendly staff in the end once they came back on site thankfully
