"This home was perfect for a solo traveler (but will accommodate a couple easily). Full transparency: I had to travel unexpectedly due to the death of a friend. To be able to come "home" to this lovely cottage and all of its tranquility was a balm to my soul. It truly provided a safe haven to grieve. "Wonderful retreat with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valley. Loved the food and ambience at Cordiano's Winery next door. Liliya was a responsive and helpful hostess. We fed the goats and walked the long steep driveway for a good cardio workout. Read our Bibles and journaled in the rose garden overlooking the valley. There is a kitchenette instead of a full kitchen but we were not there to cook our meals. Highly recommended!"

"It was a perfect getaway for us with two little dogs. We were escaping the heat of Palm Springs. The patio area was so nice, walking distance to restaurants and enjoyed morning walks to Carlsbad which also had many good restaurants. We would definitely recommend South O and will come back. "

"Brian was an awesome host. Communication before and during our stay was prompt. The property looks exactly like the pictures. Really comfortable beds. TV's have all the apps u need and we even downloaded one to the Roku TV. Close to food and grocery stores. BBQ had full propane. . House is stocked with everything you need...shampoo, had soap in every bathroom, trash bags. Highly recommend this property. If you are going for a soccer tournament, it is 10 minutes from the fields."

"This property has plenty of space. The bathrooms are newly refurbished. The thermostat works well. Many necessities were supplied, such as laundry supplies and so on. The beds were comfortable. I would like more adult furniture in the family room to watch TV (the furniture is very low) but it's fine for kids. My grandchildren enjoyed the toys and puzzles. The yard is very pleasant."

Our family was in SD for a US Marine Corps family day/graduation ceremony at MCRD and this home was near shopping and easy access to freeways. Our party of 8 was very happy staying here. Kitchen, bedrooms, living room, BBQ grill were all utilized, however this home could use a refresh and a little TLC. Owner was very responsive to our questions. "
