"There was nothing that I can think of that we needed while there except maybe a spider detector. This place couldn’t have been more conducive to our needs. The nearby park was beautiful to walk to. There are plenty of churches to choose from. We felt very relaxed and at home. The only thing that creeped me out was the big spider in my bed and one in the shower the next morning. Both of which were obliterated. Thanks!"

"We had a such a great time in this rental property. The view is phenomenal! With the jacuzzi, wow! My friends and I fished the whole day and we we're catching fish left and right! So fun! "This property went beyond my expectations. We had family from CA, TX, ND, and FL all meet up in IA for a family Celebration of Life. 9 adults total, and with three separate gathering areas, plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was very adequate for our cooking/baking needs. Although we had no small children, we did notice the nice-sized room with plenty of baby items. A small issue when my mother (83 years old) was the first to arrive at the property, she didn't fully understand how to...

"Right on the river, can have coffee on the covered patio and watch the river. Close to I-80 bridge, but with the windows closed, the sound is gone. One of the better furnished houses we’ve stayed in. And everything is top of line from the refrigerator to the coffee pot! A wonderful breakfast (and lunch, dinner) diner less than half mile away. Easily and safely walkable on the bike trail that runs by the back yard."

"We were in town with family and had a wonderful stay. Being right on the river watching the eagles was worth double the price. All details were thought of and executed nicely. What I got was nesting eagles in the tree out my window, a nightly roaring fire with ample wood supply, super responsive host, welcome wine and snacks, comfortable beds and high end baths, white linens and privacy. If you don’t mind steps to enter the home, and some personal touches throughout (books, candles, travel trinkets, mugs, condiments, kid fun) you will enjoy your stay very much! Want a pristine hotel, choose a hotel. Want eagles, geese and pelicans + a private stay...

"This is such a neat historic home with lots of room for the 8 of us to spread out and also be together around the table playing games. The weather didn't quite cooperate the night we were planning to have a fire, but there is a fire ring with plenty of wood available and lots of outdoor seating. The backyard is large and fenced, and we were glad to see the cornhole game (even though I am possibly the worst player ever). Communication was great! I still cannot believe how big the bedrooms are,...

"Celebrated 50 years married with family here. Spacious accommodations, nice scenery, fun game room. A place for everyone to sleep, nice and ample dining areas, plenty of room in the kitchen. Kitchen was missing some everyday items like pot holders and a colander. Went and purchased what we needed and added to inventory. Such a minor negative for all the great times we had in this house. Family time is the best time. Thanks."
