Their spa and surf lessons is not available on demand/< 1 day booking and their recommendations is worth checking before doing it/booking to ensure you get all the info/details.

For a surfing adventure, everything is at your fingertips and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
I thoroughly enjoyed the daily yoga, thank you to the wonderful instructor Darcy Lynch.
I will visit Montanita again, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere other than Balsa. "

"It was a little tropical oasis! The ambiance of the place is laid back and comfortable. Everyone is friendly. The food is good. The yoga class is good. The location is fantastic. If I ever return to montanita (and I probably will), I would not stay anywhere else!"

"Owners were very friendly and helpful. This is a family friendly hostal with no partying, drinking, loud music. Made it easy to sleep. Rooms are basic, no AC, no hot water but private bathroom in our room. Bedroom could use fresh coat of paint but everything was clean. For the price it was a great value. Without a car it is likely further from the beach than easily accessible. We had our own car so it was a short drive. We would definitely recommend this hostal."
