We stayed at the Grace Bay Villa Camilla (bottom unit) condo in March. I will list the pros and cons of this property.
Pros- The LOCATION is amazing!!! This home is just a short walk down a path to the beautiful Grace Bay. This condo/villa is right next door to some of the best hotels in Providenciales, walking distance (within 1 mile) to the Beaches resort, and several others right next door.
The Beach is pretty private right in front of the villa, which is really nice.
The AC works great in the bedroom, cools it down nicely at night. The villa is clean. The pool was nice for cooling off after a long day on the beach. The landscaping on the property is IMMACULATE!! The villa is within walking distance to the Thursday nigh fish fry, and right next door to Somewhere restaurant on the beach. The groundskeepers are really nice people. Jade was very helpful. She helped us decide what things to do and which restaurants to not miss.
Cons- I hate to even put this out there, but I feel I need to state the few things we weren't fond of. The main thing being, there is no umbrella at the beach. This was a very BIG deal for us as my husband is very pale and he sits under an umbrella on all of our vacations, even I like to lay under an umbrella occasionally after hours in the sun. The second thing was the chairs are locked up behind some sea grass and it was a bit of a hassle to get them out and put them up while alone (no umbrella, so husband did not use the beach out front of house). I would like to point out there is only AC in the bedroom, which wasn't a big deal for us in March, the breeze was comfortable during the day, I don't know how that would be in June. Also, there is a cap on the electrical use. I don't know what it is, but we weren't told of that until arrival with Jade, we used ac at night, didn't go over. Lastly, the alarm was a tiny bit of a nuisance on our first night as it went off at 1am and scared us to death. The owner was there on the property and he and my husband went outside and there was no one there, suggested blue heron triggered it. There is a lot of security on the property.
I would recommend this property if you don't mind sitting on the beach without an umbrella. For us, that mattered immensely. We spent most of our days at Taylor Beach which is very beautiful. You rent chairs and umbrellas there and they have food and a bar on the beach. I would highly recommend you rent a car to get around.
