The most comfortable rental beds we’ve ever slept in! Fluffy, soft sheets, lots of pillows. All 3 beds were comfortable! Very pleased with our choice! "

"Communication was great from the initial booking. Spacious, clean, and very private. Great accommodations and up to date appliances/furniture. Canoe is a lovely addition that we took pretty far down the river to explore. Would absolutely return and recommend to others!"

When we checked in we thought it was way in the country, but it is actually very close to everything we needed and very close to all the historical parts of Williamsburg, Jamestown and York!It would be wonderful for several families with children to stay! "It was an amazing stay. We were welcomed into a perfectly immaculate home that was exceedingly quiet the whole time. They have so many wonderful amenities right there. The only thing that took me by surprise was that one of the rooms is more of a loft because it doesn’t have a door on it. "

"We all had a wonderful stay at City Richmond Life! Although we did not use the area in the fenced-in backyard, it appears to be a wonderful hang out for all ages. A place to gather, relax, enjoy the ambience and all its amenities. The home is updated and modern yet very cozy and made us feel very welcome. Luke was very responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again in the future!"

"The place looked good online, but it is larger than it seems and better than I can express!!!!What a true gem in a setting you try to think of reasons to return for another occasion before you have even left.All went well and was very easy from the reservation, communication, arrival, stay, adding my son's dog for 2 days 24 hours before arrival, to cleanup and leaving,,,,,which we were all sad to drive away!Had a great experience that I left something and was able to go back a few days later...

"This property was an amazing way to experience the historic area. My kids loved their attic bedroom and all the nooks and crannies. We enjoyed the art and especially the antiques that Cliff and Joy used to make the home feel authentically 18th century. Cliff was so kind and spent time answering our questions about the property upon arrival. I highly recommend this space for any family who wants to experience a historical getaway!"

"The host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. When we arrived, the AC wasn’t cooling properly. We contacted the host around 7:00 PM on a Friday—the hottest day of the year in RVA—and she immediately arranged for an AC technician. Remarkably, the tech arrived within 30 minutes and resolved the issue that evening. We really appreciated the quick action and dedication to guest comfort."

"Three of us spent three days (two nights) at Floyd's FAN-tastic Retreat, and we found it to be truly excellent.
