"The room was nicely equipped but had a strange odor and was very damp and humid making it very uncomfortable. And yes, we ran the AC to try and lower the dampness, but it did not help. And yes, I do understand humidity as I live in Houston and experience it daily."

"We had a really bad stay at Holiday Inn Lake Charles.
The rooms (we got a new room) both had a really bad smell - very moldy. Room number two was dirty and we suspected that they didn't clean it prior our stay - found straw on the floor and a piece of paper the earlier guest had left on the sheet. Also found several hair on the sheet.
The linens felt almost wet and were in really bad shape.
The pool was closed which really upset our children who had been driving since early morning."

She went above and beyond to help me out. I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend The Marco Hotel. It is in a great location with beautiful views of the lake."
