Cozy chalet in the heart of the Haut-Jura

This charming little cabin was recently renovated for added comfort; it’s ideal for a small family (please note the size of the bunk beds) or a couple seeking peace and quiet.

Location: 
- A car is required to run errands in Prémanon (5 min) or in the village of Les Rousses (10 min)
- Ski rental shops (cross-country and downhill) at the bottom of the access road to the chalet.
- A cluster of small chalets in a quiet, unspoiled area called La Fournière d’en Bas.
- Direct access to the slopes from the chalet, Tuffes Massif.
- Hiking trails GR 5, GR 9, and GR 509—see the Visorando app for routes to the lakes (Lamoura, Les Rousses, etc.) or/and passing through peaks and notable landmarks in France and Switzerland.

The accommodations are spread over 2 levels:
On the first floor:
- Entryway for storing shoes, skis, luggage, etc.
- Bedroom with a 160x200 double bed
- Laundry room with toilet, sink, and washing machine.
- Staircase leading to the upper floor (narrow and steep)
Upstairs:
- Living/dining room with wall-mounted TV, 1 sofa, and 2 armchairs
- Bedroom with bunk beds measuring 90x190 and 70x190 (note: narrow bed; uncomfortable for a tall person)
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Shower room with toilet and sink
- Large outdoor terrace

Please note that the children’s bedroom is located upstairs and the master bedroom is on the first floor. Access between the two levels is via a steep staircase, which is not recommended for very young children.
The chalet is equipped with underfloor heating. The wood-burning stove is intended solely for ambiance and comfort.
To light a fire, you must use unseasoned firewood (not compressed wood) that is less than 25 cm long. You can find them in supermarkets or home improvement stores. Since they can be hard to find, it’s best to purchase them before your arrival.
The ashes must be emptied before you leave, and the stove glass must be cleaned.

Important: 
-Sheets, duvets, pillowcases, bath towels, and dish towels are not provided. We provide mattress and pillow protectors, fleece blankets, and pillows (60x60). For hygiene reasons, new disposable mattress pads are placed over the mattress and pillow protectors.
- Outdoor shoes are not allowed upstairs or in the ground-floor bedroom. Please bring indoor slippers.
- The road leading to the chalet’s parking lot requires appropriate equipment in case of snowfall (snow tires or chains). The chalet (number 6) is accessible on foot from the parking lot. It is located about thirty meters above the southern end of the parking lot. Access to the chalet may be difficult depending on snow conditions. Snow shovels are available in the entryway on the first floor of the chalet.
- The water heater (in the laundry room) allows for up to 3 consecutive showers. You can manually reset the system if all the hot water has been used.

Cleaning:
Upon your departure, you must perform a complete cleaning and leave the cabin in the same clean and tidy condition as you found it. Failure to perform a thorough cleaning will result in an additional charge.
