Casa Montechiaro består af dobbelt hvælvet rum divideret med en bue, et fint eksempel på klassisk middelhavsarkitektur. To rigelige buede vinduer har udsigt over Amalfi Drive og Middelhavet.

Casa Montechiaro er et karakteristisk gammelt hus, der vender ud mod solen og havet.

Bare et par minutters gang fra centrum af Positano er Casa Montechiaro en af fire uafhængige lejligheder, der har en hvidkalket, maurisk struktur. En seks fod høj mur adskiller sin terrasse fra naboens, og frodige haver adskiller lignende huse, der påkalder en oase-lignende atmosfære.

Fra Casa Montechiaro kan du nyde en charmerende udsigt over havet og kysten.

Casa Montechiaro er 80 kvadratmeter. Det har en dejlig privat terrasse med udsigt over havet og aircondition.
Du befinder dig cirka 800 meter fra Positano, hvor du finder restauranter, butikker, stranden og turisthavnen. Du finder stop for den lokale bus og SITA-bussen på 100 meter (330 fod).

Du kommer til Casa Montechiaro fra gadeniveauet langs en 100 meter offentlig gangbro, der omfatter cirka 150 trappetrin.

Du har ikke brug for en bil for at bo på Casa Montechiaro. Hvis du har en, vil du være i stand til at parkere den langs de offentlige veje (den faktiske afstand kan variere afhængigt af tilgængeligheden af parkeringspladser) eller på en privat parkeringsplads i centrum (hvor en plads kan reserveres).

Terrasse
Terrassen er 10 kvadratmeter stor. Det er udstyret med et bord og stole Fra terrassen kan du nyde en charmerende udsigt over havet og kysten.

Stue
Stuen er brolagt med karakteristiske majolica-fliser. Loftet er højt og hvælvet. Møblerne er elegante og lyse.
Spisebordet har plads til seks gæster. I dette rum finder du et satellit-tv og en cd-afspiller. Fra stuen kan du komme ind på terrassen med udsigt over havet og Positano gennem en dobbeltglaseret fransk dør. Værelset har et dobbeltvindue-vindue med udsigt til vegetationen. Det er udstyret med en klimaanlæg / varmeenhed.

Soveværelse med eget badeværelse
Du kan komme ind i det første soveværelse fra stuen. Møblerne er hyggelige og komfortable. Værelset har en ægteskabsseng (160 cm, bredere end en queensize-seng). Fra soveværelset kan du gå ind på terrassen med udsigt over havet og kysten gennem en dobbeltglaseret fransk dør. Soveværelset er udstyret med aircondition / varmeenhed. Dette soveværelse har eget badeværelse, flisebelagt med klare håndlavede majolica-fliser og udstyret med en håndvask, et toilet, et brusebad og en hårtørrer.

Badeværelset er udstyret med håndvask, toilet og bruser. Du vil være i stand til at komme ind på badeværelset fra en korridor.

Amazing view

We enjoyed the beautiful view every day from our porch. Having the kitchen to prepare a few meals was great for us. The stairs to the apartment from the street was a wonderful workout after eating our way through Italy. Rafaelle arranged private driving to and from the airport as well as an excursion and a porter for our luggage haul to and from the apartment which made our trip much easier. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stunning views!

We can’t say enough about how absolutely incredible Raffaele’s home is! Right from the start Raffaele communicated with us setting up a ride from the airport and porters to take our luggage up the many steps to the house. We arrived to find Anna there to greet us and show us the house. We couldn’t believe how beautiful it was! Even better than the pictures. Everything was spotless and the place was tastefully decorated. It provided us with everything we needed and more. 2 bathrooms, clothes washer and drying rack. Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher and an amazing large balcony overlooking the Mediterranean! The view is incredible and can be seen from everywhere in the house! We couldn’t get enough of it! When we first arrived, Raffaele had flowers, Prosecco, cheese, tomatoes, and bread to help us celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with a beautiful hand written card. There was also a bottle of wine and water in the fridge. Coffe and tea were also provided. It was so special, it made us feel really welcomed. We truly enjoyed our time in Positano and we were able to explore the Amalfi coast from this location. Our favorite time was when we had coffee and wine on the balcony. We also hired Angela, Raffaele’s sister, to cook us a local meal homemade in our kitchen. That was an experience not to be missed. Thank you, Raffaelle, Angela and Anna for making this such a special time for us. We highly recommend Casa Montechiaro and would love to come back one day!!!

Breathtaking view just steps from Positano

Raffael is awesome, best host of Positano. He is always available and accommodating for any adventures and transportation. The property is beautiful and overlooks the beauty of the Positano. This was about second stay and can’t WAIT for our 3rd.

Fantastic apartment!

Casa Monteciaro is the perfect place to stay in Positano.It is a bit away from the city centre but if you dont have to much trouble climbing stairs you will get your daily exercise.Host Angela and Raffaele where very helpful and supporting to make our stay to an fantastic memory!

Wonderful Apartment in Positano with a Great Balcony

I would recommend this rental to any couple traveling to Positano. It is exactly as described in the listing. The host is very helpful and always respond promptly to your inquiries. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to have Angela cook dinner for you at least one night during your stay. I would also recommend visiting the three beaches that are within a 15 to 20 minute walk of the property.

Amazing property on the coast overlooking Positano

Our visit to Positano and this property were incredible. We loved the villa and all that it had to offer. The home was clean and well supplied, and the lay out was very stylish and well designed. The terrace offered incredible view looking down on the beautiful coast line and the lemon terraces. We spent many evenings sitting out on the terrace, sipping on wine, watching the yachts come and go , and gazing at the star lit sky. It was peaceful and relaxing. Although we did not cook dinner in the kitchen, it had all the dishes and utensils that you may need. Raffaele, the property owner, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He helped arrange the car service to pick us up in Naples, a porter to carry our bags up the stairs, and had scooters delivered near the villa so we could go exploring. If I needed anything and sent an email, he was quick to reply and help in any way. The only challenge of this property is the stairs up to the villa. It is a bit of a walk up, climbing up stairs and walkways. We did not mind the climb and took it as a fun way to build up our strength and endurance. If you are not very fit and can not climb stairs, this might not be the right location for you. We like the location, and think it made our stay in Positano just perfect.

Beautiful Positano hillside apartment!

The apartment is in an excellent location on the hillside in Positano with impressive scenic sea views. The stairs to the apartment are lined with lemon trees and an array of flowers. The walk down the hill to the very centre of Positano takes around 5 minutes with breathtaking, spectacular views! The apartment is more spacious than we expected - perfect for a couple. The kitchen is fully equipped with indoor and outdoor dining, large terrace and a sun lounger. The double room was very comfortable with a separate toilet and shower. There were two hairdryers, plenty of towels (including two beach towels) and lots of shelf space/wardrobes for storage. Raffaele the owner was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He organised our transfer from Naples airport (something I highly recommend). Such a nice, genuine host! We stayed in Positano for one week, but we could have stayed longer because there was so much to do. Buses conveniently stop nearby and the local restaurant Casa Mele offers a superb tasting menu! Our holiday was a dream come true! We hope to visit again one day and stay in Raffaele’s apartment. Highly recommended!

Perfect honeymoon setting

Raffaele was a wonderful host of this property. Perfectly situated to enjoy all of the Positano activities (a 20 minute walk) or to enjoy a quiet evening on a private balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. Raffaele helped us arrange a driver to and from Napoli. He had food and wine ready for our arrival which we enjoyed multiple times over the week. Electricity, as noted, is extra but Raffaele noted the start and finish of our service, for precise accuracy. As a point of reference, we stayed one week, ran the AC in the bedroom every night, ran two loads of dishes and one load of laundry. Plus the occasional tv and fan. Our e’bill was 47 euros. There are some fabulous places to eat and a little convenience store within 5 minutes of the apt. Cafe Mele was the best restaurant we ate at in Italy and is just around the corner from the apartment. Positano may not be the best place to visit if walking and climbing stairs are an issue, but this was a perfect place for these 50 something newlyweds to spend their honeymoon! Hoping to be be back in the future!

Paradise in Positano

We had an amazing time at Casa Montechiaro!! Everything was perfect, the accommodations, the view, but specially the service by Raffaele and Angela at the property. Don’t get overwhelmed by the steps, it’s an easy climb. You can get help with your luggage. It’s very close to town. Highly recommend to hire Ángela as a chef! I will absolutely come back.😊

Wonderful vacation in beautiful Positano

Beautiful apartment, breathtaking view right from the balcony. Owner welcomed us with warm smiles and hospitality. Apartment was comfortable and equipped with everything you need to be comfortable during your vacation. Ongoing owner availability for any questions, providing helpful information to make our stay enjoyable. The town of Positano in our opinion is the most beautiful of them all with wonderful food, beaches and the warmest people. If traveling to this area you do not want to miss Positano or this lovely apartment.

2nd Paradise

Raffaele and Angela the owners, were wonderful hosts having fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread, wine and other Italian delights provided upon our arrival. The apartment/flat was excellent for my wife and I. We very much enjoyed coffee on the lovely terrace in the morning and of course wine in the evening. The view of the Amalfi coast from the terrace was heavenly (ie 2nd Paradise). From this beautiful home base we explored, Path of the Gods, downtown Positano, Capri, Amalfi, Revelo and Sorrento during our weeks stay. We always looked forward to returning back to Positano to this lovely house to enjoy some quite down time. No question about it...we will return in the very near future. Excellent: a holiday destination with stunning views. A short walking distance away from the direct hustle and bustle of the town. Pack shoes you can walk comfortably in and expect to climb up lots of steps.

The view was breathtaking and our host Raffaele was amazing

First let me say, that from the time I booked this apartment till we left Raffaele was amazing and looked after everything we needed. He arranged a pick up at the Naples train station for us which I highly recommend and when we arrived at his place he was there to greet us. He had fresh flowers, fresh fruit, fresh bread, meats and to top it off a very nice bottle of wine. You will get use to the steps lol. I recommend climbing the steps and hillside to visit the cemetery up above. For fresh meats I highly recommend going to Eudoteca Cuono Family deli, the sausage is amazing plus try their eggplant and olives. I recommend taking a private boat tour along the coast, take a tour in one of the small zodiac boats. The small beach you can see from the balcony is awesome and you can rent umbrellas, loungers and enjoy lunch and drinks. I could go on forever about Positano, it is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. A key for me also was I felt absolutely safe and that is very important for me. I highly and I mean highly recommend Raffaeles place to any and everyone. Raffaele thank you again for truly being a very kind, caring host and a friend.

Home from home with the most stunning views

So just home from two weeks on the Amalfi Coast, we spent our first week in Raffaele’s apartment. We were met by Raffaele on arrival and who then showed us round the apartment. Firstly what absolutely stunning views from the balcony.... we couldn’t believe how lucky we was. The apartment has everything you need including all cooking facilities if you fancy eating in to a washing machine which came in really handy. We felt so relaxed and at home for the week and was so pleased that we picked this apartment. When we arrived Raffaele had provided us with water, wine, lunch, fruit which was just what we needed before heading out in the evening to explore. It was a lovely touch by Raffaele. Raffaele also said that we could call him at any time if there was anything we needed, and although we was okay, it was a nice feeling knowing that we could call upon him. As for Positano itself, well what can we say, a beautiful beautiful place which we fell in love with instantly. You have to be fit as lots of uphill walking but we didn’t mind this as it walked of all the gorgeous food and wine that we consumed whilst there. Our week in Positano will always be special to us as we got engaged whilst there and we will definitely be back.... when we do, we would definitely stay at Raffaele’s apartment again. I would recommend this apartment to all of my family and friends and tell them how lovely it is and how professional and welcoming Raffaele was. Great location

Walking distance to Positano centre. Positano is very vertical so lots of exercise going up hills and stairs. The Casa was perfect with all the required amenities and extras provided by the owners which was much appreciated. After a full day of touring or shopping it was relaxing to come back to the apartment and enjoy a drink on the terrace. Lovely view. Home away from home!

Great location with amazing views!

We enjoyed a week long stay at this beautiful villa. From the moment I booked our trip, the owner was extremely responsive to every question I had about the villa and about the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by his sister, who stocked the kitchen with everything we would need for a dinner, fresh fruit, snacks and coffee. We also hired her to cook us a meal during our stay. This was a highlight of our trip. She prepared a delicious meal and served it to us on the deck overlooking the incredible view. The villa is very spacious and is in a great location for exploring Positano.

exceeded high expectations

We are seasoned US travelers that annually rent about 4 months a year at various locations. We stayed at Casa Montechiaro for one month and arrived with high expectations. Our own: clean, well stocked, accurate description, etc. Others: due to the reviews of past renters, the website description and photos, along with numerous email conversations and correspondence with Raffaele we were expecting a top notch apartment. We are happy to report that all of our expectations were not only met, but exceeded throughout the month's stay. It is difficult to add much to the reviews of the others, but we learned that each reviewer's comments are accurate and correct in their assessment, and that the information you find on on the Internet about Casa Montechiaro is accurate and not overstating its attributes. So, trust the website and the reviews. As for our stay, we lived on the terrace most days when not out exploring. Getting around Positano was easy for us...heed the steps warning, but if you are in shape, no issue at all. We had no car...no problem.....a car would be a big problem if you rent or have one. We made our own meals many days during our stay and the kitchen, like all other aspects of the rental, exceeded our expectations. Angela, who came by each week to check on us is a delight.....always so happy and willing to assist and be sure we had anything we needed. Raffaele was the magician behind the scenes....easily available by email to ask for advice and/or arrange anything....along with all of the items mentioned in the other reviews. With his advice, I had one of the best haircuts I have ever had in Positano. Casa Montechiaro is perfect for a vacation holiday....one week or 1 month.....and your hosts are there when you need them. It is clear to us that Angela and Raffaele truly enjoy making an experience at Casa Montechiaro the best that it can be.

Just perfect!

We were so pleased we had chosen Casa Montechiaro for our stay in Positano. My husband and I have found it impossible to think of anything that could be improved upon. The location is about a ten minute walk down into Positano (lovely views all the way), can be a little exhausting coming back in hot weather though, so you need to have a decent level of fitness especially to manage the steps up to the apartment. I would definitely choose Casa Montechiaro again though, the views from the balcony were amazing and we could have sat there all day. Its position means that it is in the shade in the afternoon, which we were glad of, otherwise the apartment would be much to hot in the evening, we stayed here at the end of May and we didn't need to use the air conditioning. Everything you need for a relaxing break is here. If there was one thing that was a little annoying, was the sound of dogs barking quite frequently, it didn't disturb us to much but the noise just spoilt the tranquillity of the area at times (don't let this put you off, this is an amazing apartment). Raffaele and Angela were fantastic hosts, always available if you have any questions. Visited Sorrento on the bus (great for shopping and much cheaper than Positano) just one tip here, whenever you go somewhere on the bus, don't leave it to late for your return, the queues can get very long in the late afternoon. Capri itself was a little disappointing - to crowded, enjoyed the boat ride more. Went with Positano Boats (based on the beach) a small boat with just about 12 people, more intimate and friendly, we were able to go for a swim off the boat and get close to points of interest around the island. Fantastic places to eat in Positano, Casa Mele the closest, not cheap but amazing food (if you are familiar with Master Chef then this is the kind of food served, need to book though!), service exceptional. We have fantastic memories of our holiday here and I am certain we will be back one day, hopefully back to Casa Montechiaro.

Fantastic views and spotless apartment

I'd read all the previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. This was just perfect after a busy few days in Venice and Rome. The location is fantastic- just 10 minutes walk into the centre, 5 mins from bus stop , 15 mins from beach. There are 130 steps up to the apartment so be prepared for this or pay for a Porter. However this is why the view is spectacular. We spent hours in the mornings (the sun is there from early to around 1pm) and late evenings on the terrace, watching the boats in the bay below. And it's so quiet given the height but just around the corner from town- so all the amenities but also no noise, other than the cockerels. The apartment is spotless, well equipped kitchen, large fridge, towels hairdryer and bedding. The provisions left were very welcome as we arrived early evening and didn't need to venture out after our journey as Angela had left enough food and drink for our first meal. Raffaelle was in regular contact by email to check in but wasn't at all intrusive We had such a relaxing break and as soon as you sit outside , above the lemon groves , looking out into the clear still Mediterranean Sea, you just go into a different zone. A fabulous place.

Hallo Raffaele, wieder Zuhause angekommen möchten wir auf diesem Wege nochmals vielen Dank sagen, dass wir in Deinem tollen Appartement Casa Montechiaro zwei wunderschöne Wochen verbringen durften. Wir genossen unser allmorgendliches Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit dem fantastischen Blick übers Meer und entlang der Amalfinischen Küste. Die Einrichtung und Sauberkeit der Casa Montechiaro ließ keine Wünsche offen. Deine Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft werden wir in bester Erinnerung behalten. Our stay Casa Montechiaro was a superb experience. The apartment is architecturally interesting, pleasingly decorated, thoughtfully outfitted, and very clean. The owner, Raffaele, and his sister, Angela, stocked the kitchen with all the fixings for our first dinner. We enjoyed that meal, the first of many, on the terrace high above the sea. To our delight, a full moon rose over the mountain as we relaxed into our week in Positano. Raffaele was an excellent host, responsive and available by the phone he provided. He helped us with private parking and access to our car, information about Positano, and recommendations for services and restaurants. Having read the comments of others before we booked, we asked Angela to make a dinner for us. And what a meal it was! Course after course of delicious food served with an excellent local wine. And those tasty leftovers.... All in all our stay at Casa Montechiaro was one of our best vacation experiences. It is already one of our favorite memories. Thank you, Raffaele and Angela.

Perfect stay in Positano

Look no further for a great apartment for you stay in Positano. This property has it all. It boasts proximity to town and public transportation, amazing views of the Amalfi coast, and cozy and comfortable accommodations. When we arrived at the flat, Angela was there to greet us and help us get settled in. A welcome gift of fresh fruit and chilled wine was waiting for us to enjoy. It was a pleasure to find the flat was spotlessly clean with good wifi, good water pressure, and a fully functional kitchen. Our host Raffaele was always available by phone or email to answer our questions about local transportation(buses, ferries, taxis) and restaurant recommendations. We have stayed in several VRBO's around the world and this place is a great one!

Casa Montechiaro-A true taste of Italy!

Our host Rafaelle, was attentive and extremely helpful from our first inquiry, to helping organize our transfers from Naples to Positano. He also checked in with us during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed. We were greeted on our first day by the wonderful Angela, who welcomed us to the apartment with a warm smile. The apartment was beautifully appointed and had everything that we could possibly need for our week long stay. However, this is a home that you would be extremely comfortable in for a much longer stay too. The view from the apartment is stunning! Uninterrupted vistas out to sea and across the hillside. We were thrilled to discover that Casa Montechiaro was on the quieter side of the hill leading into the bustling town of Positano, yet only a short walk away from restaurants, beaches and nightlife. A few of our favourite restaurants were Max, Brunos and Casa e Bottega. Our days began early on the balcony, sipping coffee and listening to the roosters calling back and forward to each other as the sun rose over the hillside. Boats drifted silently in the glistening water as a cars and bikes hugged the bend along the coastline ahead. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, especially up and down stairs, during your time in Positano. Think of it as a great way to keep fit and walk off all the extra calories from pasta and gelato! We sought out the quieter beach of Arienzo, explored the cemetery on the hill behind the house and took a boat trip to the island of Capri. The highlight of our stay was a bus ride to the town of Amalfi, from where we hiked the Valle de Ferriere. This was a truly breathtaking walk up from the town, through valleys of lemon groves, passing ancient deserted buildings until we reached the nature reserve area at the very top of the mountain (about a two hour walk each way). Once at the top, we discovered a magical rainforest of vegetation and natural fresh water pools to swim in. It was a true taste of Italy and its rich history. Overall, we found the people of Positano friendly and genuinely helpful towards visitors. We came away feeling as though we had really experienced the Italian way of life, from the food and wine, to the people and the magnificent landscape just waiting to be explored. We would reccomend Case Montechiaro to anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience while still enjoying all the comforts of home. We returned home with our hearts filled with wonderful memories of Postiano.
