"We stayed as we were going to portsmouth dockside. I did originally think it was closer to more things but thats my own fault for not checking. Easy to access though from the roads so just nipped in the car the next day. We stayed 1 night, had a drink in the bar. Didnt eat so cant comment on food. Very clean and staff friendly."

"My first stay at Gunwharf Holiday Inn. Lovely cozy hotel. Close to all restaurants, railway station and outlet shopping. Hotel was clean, neat and tidy. The air conditioning wasn’t working but the staff accommodated us with 3 table fans . The weather was quite pleasant, so didn’t mind the air conditioning not working. Breakfast options were very good too. Will definitely be visiting the hotel in the summer. "

"Provides every need for a basic trip. We were in Portsmouth to visit family and it was a nice hotel to stay in after a long day of socializing with all the necessary needs. Also, they have a pool table! PS. The bathroom is small but it's not THAT small."

"As a couple arriving without a car, it was nice that the train station was quite close, and it was possible to walk to the beaches d port in Southsea and Portsmouth. It's a budget hotel, so naturally it's quite basic. However, as we as tourists intended to be outside the whole day and only use the room for sleep and luggage storage, it fitted our purpose. We didn't have a good colaboration with the air-conditioning, but we didn't ask. The breakfast is also plain, but sufficient and possible. The...
