Whether you`re sipping coffee on the deck, prepping a meal in the kitchen, or lounging with a book in the cozy living room, the Red Mermaid Retreat has everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Room for everyone:
The house comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Kids will love the room with four fun bunk beds, while two other bedrooms feature plush queen beds. The primary bedroom offers a spacious king bed for maximum comfort.

Fully stocked and ready to go:
The kitchen has everything you need to cook your crew’s favorite meals, and there’s a washer and dryer on-site to keep things easy. Outside, fire up the grill downstairs, rinse off the beach day in the outdoor shower, and hang out on the patio or balcony to enjoy the coastal breeze.

Private, peaceful, and perfectly located:
The Red Mermaid Retreat is tucked in a quiet area of the Bolivar Peninsula—same beautiful coastline as Crystal Beach, but more relaxed. Just four homes on the street means more peace and less traffic. Yet you’re only a quick drive from all the restaurants, shops, and activities in Crystal Beach.

By booking, you agree to the house rules. Irresponsible behavior may result in additional charges or cancellation without refund. This is our home—please treat it with the care you`d want for your own.

Hurricane policy:
If a mandatory evacuation is issued, we’ll provide a full refund or credit for missed nights.

• If a key is lost, the code is forgotten, or you can’t enter after we’ve tried all access options, the guest is responsible for any locksmith/re-key costs (call-out, labor, parts, and after-hours surcharges) and we’ll request reimbursement with the receipt. If the issue is due to a lock/smart-lock failure or our error, we cover it.
-Do not engage in any illegal activities on the property
-Do not leave out any food out that will attract unwanted pests
-Be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay, this will make it much easier when check-out time comes!
-If there`s any accidental damage, let me know ASAP and I`ll look into the issue internally to decide if and how much the deduction or repair cost will be.
-Keep noise to a minimum during nighttime hours
-Please ensure you read and fully understand the house rules at the beginning of your stay. -If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.
Maximum occupancy is 10 people. Any additional people must be pre-approved prior to final reservation. Only registers guests (guests that are on the reservation) are allowed at the house. Any visitors must be disclosed and approved by me.
**Please stay off the dunes**
• Please do not move any furniture, indoor or outdoor, during your stay. This includes chairs, picnic tables and any and all furniture in the house.
• Grill downstairs on the patio area only. Grilling on the deck is prohibited and against Galveston County ordinance. PLEASE CLEAN THE GRILL AFTER USE
• If you go to the beach, please rinse sand off in the sand shower under the house or on any of the available water hoses. Leave your sandy shoes on the deck by the front door.
• Do not flush feminine hygiene products, or anything other than what is expected to be flushed down the toilet, it will damage the septic system.
• Do not pour grease down the drains.
• DO NOT PARK UNDER THE HOUSE. Park only on the concrete driveway. Be very careful that you do not hit the pilings with your vehicle.
• If something is accidentally broken, let me know ASAP. (We understand that accidents occur and things can be broken. If this happens, please contact us so we can replace or repair damaged items. However, if damage occurs due to malicious or careless behavior, responsibility for replacement or repairs may be at renters’ expense.)
• Please lock doors and windows upon departure.
• If guests are asked to leave due to irresponsible and bad behavior, no refund will be given for lost days.
• Please keep in mind that this is our home and we ask that you respect it as we would respect yours.
• If renter must cancel due to tropical storm/hurricane evacuation requirements, full refund will be given. If renter must evacuate during their stay due to tropical storm/hurricane, they will be credited for all days lost.
• We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises, nor are the owners responsible for loss or damage of personal property of renters.
• By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all renters are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.
• The beaches at Crystal Beach have no lifeguards on duty. Swimming is at visitor’s own risk.
