  • The Sheiling, Loch Lundie. A 5 star property in a five star location, with a private hot tub and loch views. This stunning detached circular property was constructed in May 2021. It sits on the edge of its own loch in close proximity to the popular village of Plockton. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps 4 people. The Sheiling offers guests an unforgettable holiday experience with complete peace and seclusion.

Excellent Again

This was our second visit to The Sheiling and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. A most generous and thoughtful welcome pack - thank you. The weather was rather rainy at times but we managed several lovely walks with a spell in the hot tub to recover afterwards. Martin and Mairi have created a very special place at The Sheiling and we are delighted to have enjoyed the house and beautiful surroundings for a second time. In our opinion The Sheiling is the best self catering holiday accommodation and location we have experienced. Thank you and we look forward to being back next year.

It's Really A Grand Design Rather Than A Rented Holiday Home

You sort of expect Kevin McCloud to knock on the door to see how it's going :-) It takes about a day to stop worrying about messing it up but once you do it's a fabulous place to stay. Everything that is 'extra' at many places comes with it - milk, wine, washing machine tablets, shampoos, LOTs of towels, dressing gowns for the hot tub, etc, etc. Just arrive light and enjoy a truly fabulous place to stay for a week. But I hate to think how long it takes the owners to clean it on changeover days.

Visit No 03

This was our 3rd visit with a 4th already booked and probably many more after that. A quick glance through the reviews will tell you everything you need to know about this fantastic accommodation. It really does have everything you need - the house, hot tub, views, wildlife, walks and Plockton on your doorstep. The only thing missing was a trout from the loch - but that was down to a lack of skill! Can't wait to return next year.

A heavenly weekend

Everything about the Sheiling was perfect, the setting alone is enough to make it a five star property but the design and presentation of the lodge as well as the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts make it unforgettable, we will certainly visit again.

Beautiful accommodation and setting. Unfortunately midges got in the way of enjoying the outside space, we would definitely return but will book out with midge season!

Excellent stay in every way

We had an excellent stay at The Sheiling. The property is amazing - location is spectacular, everything about the property is really high-end, and ending each day in the hot tub with those views was just perfect. Lots to do in the surrounding area as well which is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Wonderful escape

Beautiful location and property which is finished to an excellent standard. Thoroughly recommend staying here. May I suggest the addition of a comfortable chair in the living room as with 4 adults sharing the settee becomes a little cramped.

Breathtaking hideaway

Very well equipped and surprising house in an idyllic setting. Very well located to discover the area as well as the Isle of Skye, though the silence on the lake may just keep you around the house to relax. End your days and watch the sunset in the hot tub with a superbe view on the lake.

The Sheiling is In a class of its own

Everything about the Sheiling is just beautiful - the unique build, fantastic location and stylish and well equipped interior. Stunning views and peaceful location come as standard here. We loved taking the boat out for a picnic, and relaxing in the hot tub looking at the stars. This was our 2nd visit and we're already planning the 3rd.

Stunning and unique holiday property

Online photos do not do The Sheiling justice, it is in a breathtaking location and the accommodation is first class. The use of the rowing boat and hot tub really do give this a unique edge. Hot tubs can be found at many properties, but not with that view!! Last but not least the building itself - so unusual and well designed. If you are seeking calm and tranquility, surrounded by nature and beautiful wildlife, whilst not compromising at all on comfort or exclusivity, this is the place for you!

Just Wow

The most amazing and memorable place we have ever stayed. The Sheiling has everything you need, Martin and Māiri really have thought of everything. The seclusion, tranquility and scenery of this very special place are things we will never forget. The only negative is that we have to leave this beautiful place, but we will definitely be back.

Superb lodge in a stunning location

An amazing lodge set on a beautiful Loch. Peaceful and able to switch off completely. Watching the stars and the moon at night from the deck and hot tub was very special. The Lodge was spotlessly clean with a great welcome pack provided by the wonderful hosts. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Great walks and places to visit close by as well as Isle of Skye too

Amazing House & Location - Unique

Everything about Loch Lundie is first class....the location, the position of the house over the loch and the house itself is fitted out to the highest of standards. Extremely private and tranquil Even the midges are virtually absent which is unheard of in the West Coast. I would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing holiday.
