"There was some mix-up and I was told that I had reservations for the location that DOES NOT have a pool but it was a block away so the sister hotel with the pool accommodated us. Kudos to the employees for their quick resolution to our issue. Both hotels were decent but this is really a review of hotel Orquideas 1 because that's the location we ended up staying in.
As mentioned, there are two sister hotels (Orquideas 1 & 2), just make sure yours is the one that has the pool if it matters to...

"The rooms are clean and comfortable; Wi-Fi worked well and there was hot water in the shower. I had prepaid with Expedia, but I was asked to pay again in cash at check-in. With my limited Spanish I was able to show my receipt and that was sufficient. The key fob is huge; the idea being that you will hand in your key if you leave the property rather than take it with you. That way they can control access to who is coming and going. It was a nice one night stay. "
