The resort is a wonderful island experience; perfect for an unplugged vacation undisturbed by crowds or busy activity. The beach and resort amenities always combine successfully for relaxation and leisure. This villa is spacious and well-maintained with good furniture, soft beds, and a very nice kitchen.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Visited with my wife and kids, had been 10 years or so since we were here last. This condo has it all, upgraded to the max. Excellent location on the south side of the resort away from cart traffic. Beds were 10/10 (expensive upgraded mattresses), condo was stocked with toys and all sorts of stuff for the kids. Amazing unobstructed sunset view from the patio, nice easy walk to the beach. We will be back in this unit.

Everything we great except the pools were in,large non usable except the last one with a card access control which we not offered. Plus we told in writing all the pools were open. This will not stop us from returning as it still remain the. Est place on earth. I did speak to management about telling the truth and they were apologizing. I still highly recommend Palm Island Resort.

AC not working 2nd floor

The TV remote in the living room was dead and no spare batteries anywhere. We called and reported it asking for service to come look at it and they never showed up. No TV, not a big deal. AC for the upstairs bedrooms ran constantly but never cooled off. We ran the 1st floor AC at 68 degrees with one of the two fans on high the second night to help cool the second floor. the 2nd living-room fan does not turn on. We swapped batteries with the other remote and it still didn't work. We had a great time overall but the unit has a few maintenance items to address.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in many units over the last 30+ years, and this was a very nice one. Perfect for a large family. The building sits very close to the water, so it's a shorter walk to the beach than most. Made it feel like you were sitting almost on top of the water which was amazing. We could see manatees swimming down the gulf from our balcony. Loved the large outdoor dining table for family breakfasts and dinners with a breeze. The kitchen is better stocked than most units. The only issue was there wasn't much room for food in the cabinets because they were full with dishes. Minor detail. The upstairs had a murphy bed and 3 twins which was nice, but we couldn't find sheets for the murphy bed. Overall, we were very happy with the unit. Beautiful sunsets & beach views from the upstairs deck which had a great hightop table for 4. A perfect place for an evening toast. Some really nice touches in this unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We been coming to Palm Island for 17 yrs and love. Overhear we switch rooms because we;re not sure what month all our families can get together. This year we rented a superior room which we were very disappointed. Slats were missing on both the sliding glass door upstairs and down which case the sunlight to come in very early morning . we ere told there would be , 1 king, 1 queen, and 4 twin beds. Well, when we arrived there was not 4 twins only 2 twin , 1 pull out couch, and 1 trundle bed . This caused issues with 8 of the guest that was staying in the room. Pull out sofa , very uncomfortable, trundle, very uncomfortable. The stove was very dirty and fell apart at there bottom when we were looking for pans. We love Palm Island and will continue to come every year but we expected a really nice room for the upgraded price and probably will not spend the money again on an upgrade. We had better rooms on standard and deluxe . Someone should mention the issues too the owners.

Another relaxing time

The Resort staff were wonderful through the whole stay.We were contacted ahead of time that the villa we wanted needed plumbing repairs but we decide to stay in it anyway. We received a discount for any inconvenience we might have. It all worked out fine as we ended up having less people than planned.The beauty and relaxation of the island is something you can enjoy even when the weather does not cooperate.We have already planned another visit for August. Can’t wait.

We came because it was their most favorite place to go, even over Hawaii! It is the only place to relax, with quiet shores full of shells!

Our unit was nice, it was clean and the location is perfect. However, it is in need of repairs we hope to see when we return.{let me add we are already booked} Getting around by golf carts add to the relaxing ambience of the island. The staff members are phenomenal making sure their guests are pleased during their stay. Rum Bay rocks with their signature cocktails, sandwiches, and friendly service. We had a good time with the fishing guide we booked twice, looking forward to the next time. Overall we had a great time at a beautiful resort.

Beach Villa Three Bedroom C1724A Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our experience was very positive. The view was spectacular, proximity to the pool was ideal, and access to the beach was great. However, the Villa was in need of an upgrade - our expectations were high in light of the "Superior" grade given to it although it was likely a "Deluxe" or maybe even a "Standard" relative to internal finishing. The downstairs bathroom ceiling was leaking and had been patched multiple times, the stove/oven needed an upgrade, the screened in porch door banged regularly because the latch was rusted away, the main floor tile was cracking, the window blind closer was missing in the dining area, the coffee pot needed replacing, the dead bolt didn't work smoothly, etc. Most of these issues were general maintenance issues which I would expect to not encounter based upon an approximate nightly price of $500 for our week long rental. Despite the finishing shortcomings, we plan to return to Palm Island. With a few Villa upgrades in this specific unit, we would book the same unit again.
