"This was our second time staying on the host's property. There are two rentals. The barn apartment was perfect for the two of us. Situated on several private acres near the May River and Old Town, the farm features grazing pastures with horses, miniatures, chickens, and a loafing pot belly pig. It is a working farm so there is always something to observe while drinking morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine on the porch. We were visiting for the first time and thought Beaufort was a bit “sleepy” so we decided to make two separate day trips. "Host provided good communication for arrival. Descriptions accurate. North end area, walkable to North beaches and lighthouse (10 - 15 minutes). Easy access to Hwy 80. Cottage is a clean functional small space. Kitchenette consists of sink, microwave and small coffee maker. A blender and small toaster oven in cupboard. Living space is cute one-room area. Bed could be improved with a better mattress for better support, foam topper not effective. "

"Easy check in. Knew from the address that the house is a little hidden so paying attention to directions from the owners is key. Easy walking distance to Old Town. Pretty neighborhood to walk through on the way. Our group loves Old Town and was glad to find a house nearby that could hold us. Having the Carriage House was great for another bed but the living area of the main house was big enough for everyone to get together. Grill had gas and check out was a breeze.
