This is an ideal place for a couple / small family in an urban neighborhood setting in walking distance (35 mins) of the main historical sites, and also within 5 mins of bus lines / subway. There is a supermarket within 2 blocks, and great restaurants nearby (we loved SouthGate, Bistro La Baia, Schlessinger's, and Joe's Pizza). The apartment is very clean, the couch/bed are comfortable, there is a washer/dryer, and the heating/AC function very well. The balcony is a nice place to relax. The kitchen has all the plates, utensils, pans that you need. There were nice towels. Communication with the host was outstanding. He let us check in 90 mins early for a 20 fee, which I consider reasonable. This being said, I rated this location 4 stars instead of 5 because of noise. We expected a certain amount of noise being in an urban area, but there were 3 unexpected sources of noise:1) There is a wedding venue w/ a courtyard adjacent to the back of the apartment. The music was VERY LOUD Friday and Saturday. This music ended by sunset.2) There is a restaurant next door with outdoor seating, also adjacent to the back of the apartment. There was music/noise until 11PM each night.3) The person in the apartment above us seemingly stomped around late in the night each night. It was very loud at times (it woke me up once). This may have just been another renter but I'm not sure.If you are noise sensitive, this place may pose an issue. But if not it's 5 stars for sure.
