"We enjoyed our stay at La Cantera. The hotel had a lovely vacation cottage feel with nice and clean facilities. The staff are very friendly and service-minded - we especially enjoyed our interaction with the restaurant head hostess and the kitchen staff. "This is a really excellent hotel. It has a beautiful, old style and there has been a lot of attention to detail. The food is absolutely outstanding, the staff is excellent, and the views of the mountains over the lake are unforgettable. Price was very very reasonable. The only negative is that the Wi-Fi is pretty poor, but I suspect that has more to do with where it's located. than anything the hotel has control over. I would stay there again in a heartbeat."

"The room was all fine, the location was a bit outside of town, but the walk wasn’t far. The receptionist was amazing and super friendly and sweet. We had a room right next to the breakfast buffet which was slightly annoying as it got quite noisy from the early morning. "

"Vi havde bestilt en junior suites, hvilket betød, at vi fik et værelse med udsigt over søen. Venligt personale, der sørgede for alt, dog ikke noget bacon til morgenmaden, da “briterne havde været der”, som de sagde. Som 5* hotel burde de sørge for noget nyt til næste dag, hvor briterne var rejst hjem. Der er shuttlebus til byen hver time. Der bliver lagt chokolade til jer, hver aften og rengøringen kan der ikke sættes en finger på."

"Apartment style room had everything needed for our short stay in El Calafate. Restaurant on site if needed. Grocery or downtown area only about a 15min walk. Lunch boxes are available if needed for an excursion or you could buy them from the travel agencies. We enjoyed our stay"

"Mi marido y yo alquilamos un apartamento. Era grande y nos queríamos quedar más tiempo. La calefacción funcionaba muy bien y no pasamos frío. La cocina tenía todo lo necesario. Fue una lástima que no la aprovechamos casi nada, pero eso fue por contratar una excursión por la tarde a último momento. Nos tomaba más o menos 10-15 minutos caminar desde el alojamiento hasta el centro de Calafate, pero eso lo sabíamos cuando contratamos. Es subida de vuelta al hotel así que toma un poquito más...

"How can I describe? First of all the Host Mr. John is so polite and we really enjoy how he received us in LINDA VISTA. "We enjoyed the cabin setup. There was plenty of space for two of us but also an extra bed in the living room and two in the loft would make it a great place for a family. The kitchen was well equipped, and the property is a few minutes walk from the strip of restaurants and stores in downtown Calafate. Breakfast was pretty good, including fruits and breads, ham/cheese, and scrambled eggs (the eggs were the only hot cooked option)."
