"The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious & clean. The only problem is the room refrigerator only gets mildly cool, it doesn't keep food/drinks cold. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I will definitely stay there again."

"My husband and I stayed a week at Hilltop Hideaway with our hosts. We enjoyed every minute there! Our room was charming. The bath was well stocked with soft towels. We spent the majority of time in the pool. So relaxing. Both Shannon and Karrie cook awesome breakfast. I spent some time learning about their chickens and most of the wildlife around. I cant say enough about Shannon and Karrie. They are such caring and considerate hosts. We cannnot forget to mention their security staff. The pets....

"We were fortunate to have the hill too ourselves, beautiful view from hill, but views limited in cabins 2, 3 & 4. Cabin 1 had the best cabin view. Cabin 3 & 4 is a duplex with only a latch door to separate you. We stayed in cabin 3 it was very clean and quaint. Enjoyed a quiet night on the hill with a firepit and the fire wood provided. The hot tub was very nice, but located down by the main house which requires you too drive down and park . The host was very polite and helpful when available....

"We drove by the drive on the way up 56, but look for the well house columns and you’ll be able to find it. We were hoping to do some fishing and relax by a pond in nature but were saddened to find that the pond is probably 20-30yards from the road and being a state route was highly traveled. With that said we did catch 27 fish (3 small catfish, 2 8” Bass and 22 bluegills all very small. We ended up throwing all them back. We had fun but was very noisy at pond. "My wife and I celebrated our 27th anniversary. The cottage was nice. Tammy the property manager was friendly and easily accessible. She shared her knowledge of the area and recommended good restaurants. It was chilly for our stay, so we didn’t get to explore the grounds, but they looked beautifully kept."

"Overall, this property is exactly as listed. It’s in a great location. The only issues we had were lack of toilet paper and paper towels and the cleanliness of the hot tub and back deck. There is a lack of water pressure in the shower. Nathan was very responsive when we contacted him. He is a new owner of this property, so hopefully this review will help him address easily corrected issues."

"The house was very tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we could want. It was minutes from downtown French Lick, so it was very convenient. Bed was comfortable, as was the living room. Hosts even left us some chocolates!"

"Creative unusual property. Basement of old Library. Thermostat for basement is upstairs. No problem. Kitchen has air fryer, microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. Nice sink. Bathroom shower is wacky but functional. Plenty of hot water. We had grandparents, two grandkids and our pet. It was perfect and priced right. 5 stars."
