Nice and cozy house , clean and tidy and fully equipped with all you need to enjoy a nice a peaceful vacation, the owners were very promp and provided clear and detailed communications pre and post stay.

Mini holiday with Grandkids

We had an amazing holiday. Kids loved their own room and bathroom. Perfect set up for family. Large dining table we could play games, do art work and enjoy meals together. Location is perfect. Beach was lovely. We will definitely be back again!

Much better than I expected. If I had known I would not have packed so much!Had a great time with the kids on the beach. Went to Coombs... but didn't see any goats on the roof. Are they no longer?Homeowners really responsive to all my questions.

Forest Oasis

The quiet townhouse nestled among the trees, a short walk to the amazing Rathtrevor Beach, equals a perfect holiday. The home has a full compliment kitchen with an icemaker! A lovely gas fireplace and very comfortable beds, even bikes to explore a little further if you felt so inclined. Thank you for sharing your island home with us.

Island Wedding

We booked this beautiful property to be home base for our son’s wedding at Rathtrevor Park. We cooked a huge meal for 25 people (we hosted at the park) and kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The rooms were perfect for us and everyone had their space. We had an amazing time together The beach is so close and the park is gorgeous. So glad we chose to stay here!

Everything we hoped for

Joanne's place was perfect. It is a beautiful property, close to the beach, with everything you could need, spices in the kitchen, toys and coloring things for the kids. We used the wagon and sand toys every time we went to the beach! We would stay again and highly recommend it.

Wonderful Parksville Stay

We (family of four from the UK) enjoyed a wonderful 3-night stay in Joanne and Doug’s beautiful rental in the private Tanglewood resort in Parksville. All communications were excellent, and if anything, the actual property (location, furnishings, kitchen and bathroom supplements, beach equipment) is even better than suggested by the description and pictures. In addition to enjoying the property itself and Rathtrevor Beach, we enjoyed sea kayaking and whale watching on the Georgia Strait. Very easy to access from Nanaimo. Would highly recommend. Beautiful beach house

Joanne and Doug's beach house is a beautiful place to stay. It accommodated all six of us comfortably; it was beautifully clean and a very restful place to be; and the back patio was the perfect place to enjoy some peace and a good book! We loved it there. Wish We'd Planned to Stay Longer!

This was the best equipped accomodation we've ever rented. Douglas and Joanne have a lovely home with everything you will need for a comfortable stay from a coffee grinder to bicycles and helmets! We appreciated the comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms, recliners in the living room, the fireplace, . . . we could go on and on. We hope to come back soon.

Love this condo

This is one of our favourite condo’s to stay in Tanglewood. The owners are fantastic to deal with and it is so fully stocked we can make wonderful meals. My son was thrilled to be able to bike around the area (thanks to the three bikes on site) and my daughter loves the reading nook by the fireplace, where we saw several deer go by. Great location to walk to the beach, the black goose inn or over to the grotto spa. Of course we will be back.

Immaculate Townhouse

My husband loved his stay in this immaculate townhouse. Tanglewood is always a favourite resort, and this unit was exceptionally clean and well equipped.

Parksville vacation house

Very well-appointed property! Our family loved our stay here. The only thing that was challenging was the lack of storage in the downstairs bedroom. Even some hooks on a wall would help with that. Otherwise, it was the perfect vacation rental.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a fantastic week in Parksville and are thrilled to have found this property for our stay. Checking in was seamless, the location is excellent and the property has all the comforts of home. Easy walk to the beach, lovely treed neighborhood. Would certainly come back.

Outstanding Rental at Rathtrevor Beach

This beach house was very clean, well maintained & extremely well stocked. The kitchen had absolutely everything that you would ever require during your stay. There were over a dozen good quality beach towels as well as lots of beach toys, beach chairs and even a wagon for taking everything to the beach which was just a 5 min walk away. Also a huge amount of games for kids and adults. Joanne & Doug were excellent hosts who responded quickly to all of our questions. They had a binder full of information about Parksville & their rental unit which was very useful. I highly recommend this rental. We loved it!

The perfect vacation spot

If you want a fantastic place to go on your next vacation, this is it! This was the way my husband and myself could have our kids and grandkids with us for a family vacation. Our place literally had everything you need. You don’t have to take a thing with you. Any appliance you could think of is there. We used the BBQ everyday. Air beds, toys and games plus beach toys for the kids. Beach towels and beach chairs for the adults. The ocean is very close and wow, super warm! Lots to do and see in Parksville. There are bicycles for those who love to bike, and a wagon to take your things down to the beach. The owners are very receptive to any questions you may have. The welcome book includes so much information on the area. From great places to eat out if you want, to places to shop and nearby places of interest. All and all, a fantastic home away. All you need to do is arrive and relax! Highly recommend Tanglewood 62 to anyone. I’m sure we will be back!
