Your room as well as our common areas were designed by Jacques Garcia, our decor is comprised of handpicked antiques and carefully selected pieces in order to transport you to a whole new neo-gothic oriental oasis. Your room was on our stop floor with beautifully typical Parisian sloped ceilings, but we also have rooms with classic ceilings if preferred. These rooms meet the size standards for Parisian 4* hotels and are typical of older Marais buildings such as ours which adds to the unique charm of our boutique hotel. Many of our rooms have been renovated this year to provide a more spacious option for our guests, these junior suites include a luxurious walk-in shower as well as a bathtub with a stunning floor to ceiling window overlooking our spectacular living wall. Dear Benjamin, We would like to thank you for taking the time to give us your opinion.The double room you were booked is 16m2 which is a good size for a room in the medieval centre of Paris and it is on top of that, equipped with several cupboards and shelves to store your possessions.Regarding the lighting intensity, it is in fact part of the concept by designer Jacques Garcia and is one of the elements, among many others, that create the unique charm of our boutique hotel. However, there are dimmer switches to adjust the lighting and if it was needed, we have extra lights at hand that can be put in the room. The reviews left on the various platforms reflect the true opinions of our guests that have overwhelmingly appreciated the intimacy of the hotel, the decor, the service provided by our staff and as you also pointed out, the fantastic location of the Bourg Tibourg in the heart of the Marais.Sincerely, Maeva
