1791 Cabin on Historic Horse Farm

This rare 1791 log cabin is located on Houstondale Farm, a working horse farm in the renowned Bluegrass region of Ky. You can stroll to the barn and visit the horses or enjoy the peace and quiet before relaxing at the pool, complete with a grill and outdoor dining area. It is a scenic 22 minute drive from the Ky Horse Park, 25 minutes from Lexington, and 30 minutes from Keeneland Race Track. Even with the remote feel of the farm you will only be a mile from Walmart, shops & downtown Paris. The cabin is cozy and equipped with internet, kitchen, and tv. Although the tv often does not like to connect to the internet, so dvd player and dvds will be made available for your stay. The internet tends to work best with phones or iPads if you want to watch your streaming services on your own device. There is one bedroom at one end of the cabin with the living area at the opposite end, and it’s separated by the kitchen. It’s centrally located on the farm, and has easy access to the pool area. Please Note: The pool is open end of May to 1st of September and currently is not heated. It is a shared experience with all other guests on the farm. You are more than welcome to walk the property. We just ask you not enter any places where there are livestock. The pool is open 9:00am - 3:45pm Memorial Day to Labor Day and closed all day on Sundays for our farm family. There is someone living in the pool house, which is why there are regulated hours. Thank you for understanding. I am available via text, calling, or messaging. It is a working farm, so I am usually here, but out and about taking care of things. There is self check in and your own parking space, so you can come and go and have as little interaction as you'd like. This is a non smoking, no drugs and no pet property. We love dogs and animals, but to protect our own and the well being of our livestock, we do not permit other animals on the property. If you have a service dog, verification and identification will be required prior to arrival. If you are found having a dog on the property, there is an additional $200 cleaning fee because while you may not be allergic to your dog, the next guest may be. Out of consideration for others, there is an additional cost.
