"Overall the property was what we expected. Ideal for two persons, doing local daytrips. Basic, safe, clean with a small kitchen, equipped for 2 persons. Clean linen and a comfortable double bed. Typical the apartments one would find in Europe. We did not use the loose blanket on the bed, but it is in need of a wash."

"My wife wanted to take me here for a few days during our last trip to South Africa. The whole village is a treat to see, and this hotel just added to the whole experience. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you, with nice touches such as afternoon tea and archery - they even washed the car while we were there! In comparison to the rest of South Africa, the rooms 'could' be considered small, but all the facilities and more are there and catered for which more than make up for...

"We had no problem with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Service and food was excellent. The only drawback was the hotel has a generator, but during loadshedding all the plugs and lights are off. So during the evenings you only have a small light in the room. If you are an outdoor person, there are lots to do during the day. We will definitely go back if they do an upgrade on their generator."

"Beautiful hotel in an incredible place. Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Bit disappointed that my room did not have an AC and it got quite hot. The spa was also really lovely, but the nail products were disappointing. The experience was great and the therapists were really friendly, but I’d hope for better products next time. Overall a great place and I’d definitely recommend to others! "

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed. "a terrible, small, smelly caravan awaited us with a toilet and shower around the corner in a dark small outside room. No cookware and cutlery were outdated and old. We did not stay there and booked another accommodation, therefore needed to pay twice for accommodation for our holiday. When confronted the owner about the crappy caravan she just replied " In 6 months time, you will laugh about your experience at The Stables""

"This was a wonderful hotel that suited our needs perfectly. It is situated in the road leading to the lagoon, so a quick walk gets you onto the water in no time. The hotel is geared for people doing water sports. There are private lockers on your patio to lock up gear in, hangers for wetsuits and large basins in the shower to wash your gear. The rooms are very comfortable with all you could want. Very comfortable bed. The food at the restaurant was delicious. There is also a water sports center...

"We loved this place! The ocean view from our room was spectacular. We checked out a few other places in town that are more expensive and the view from the Linhof is the best! Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word.
