We specifically chose this hotel due to the rating of 9/10, but instead experienced the exact opposite. Reasons for this include lack of maid service, little to no water pressure or even pulsating at times, only allowed one towel person, minimal parking, issues with mini fridge, and trash cans in hallways remaining overfilled for days.
After speaking to a maid outside our room to *exchange* towels (you’re not allowed more), she told us she didn’t think our room should be cleaned. We followed up with the front desk, where they wrote down our request to have our room cleaned and reassured us it would be taken care of – shocker, it never was (the entire time we were there)! With this inconvenience, this caused us to have little to no toilet paper or soap, we had to reuse sheets (and towels), and had to deal with our overflowing trash cans. Especially for being at the beach, it would’ve been helpful to have the sand cleaned from our room.
Additionally, the ice machine on our floor had been removed, despite signage indicating it was available. We also noticed a lack of professionalism from several staff members; many wore earbuds and were frequently on their phones, including those at the front desk. It was common to find no one at the front desk as staff would disappear into the supply room for long periods, leaving guests waiting with no assistance.
The breakfast area was also problematic – overcrowded, with very long lines and limited seating, making it difficult to enjoy.
