The Costa Brava, literally the wild coast, is very popular. The beautiful surroundings with small bays and large beaches are inviting. One of the few places in Spain where one can enjoy green surroundings with many pines and oaktrees. In addition the sea is very close by and in less than 10 minutes drive you will find real Spanish villages like Torroella de Montgri and Begur, where you can shop for hours and where you can enjoy a drink on one of the old village squares. The medieval village Pals, no more than 5 minutes distance, is beautifully authentic like Perratellada, where the bars and restaurants make your stay worth wile. For a lot of fun you visit Playa d’Aro where a nice fairground and a splashing waterpark are a sensation for the kids.
